Well…let’s just say a few demons kidnapped Miroku and brought him to the modern era using the well Kagome uses with the power of the Shikon Jewel shard. 
            
            And as for the monk ending up with Dartz…the Atlantian king kinda forced Miroku to do the wedding rites and oaths (even though Miroku didn’t know Y/n was going to be the king’s bride).

            Sesshomaru: *heard my call and saw the blonde running after her* … *quickly placed her behind him* 
            
            Joey: *immediately stops running and gulps* I’m in trouble, aren’t I? 
            
            *30 minutes later*
            
            Joey: *all bandaged up from head to toe while staying bedridden*
            
            Tristan: *comes in and sighed* I told you not to chase after Ash when someone offered food to her. 
            
            Téa: Well, he does deserve it. 
            
            Yugi: *nervously chuckles* 
            
            Yami Yugi: *sighs* This is his punishment for chasing after Asherah67.
