@Emilylikesrioja I live in america and I can't imagine not having to pay. its seems so weird tbh. you can, however, put the words 'do not rececitate' which means if something happens and you need help, do not call an ambulance. You cannot afford healthcare, which on average is 10,000+ dollars. There's a lot of grey areas, but basically if you can't afford healthcare, get that tattoo, preferably on your chest where they can see it. problem with getting that tattoo is you can't go to work at as many places because businesses dont take people with big tattoos, minus tattoo artists and that kind of stuff. If you didn't have to pay for healthcare in america, then many places would actually go out of business, because taxing, insurance, etc. funds the government and there's a lot of chaos that would ensue if we wouldn't pay. We are taught this kind of stuff younger than most people think, because our parents don't want to pay thousands of dollars for broken bones. If we are on the verge of death, and they try to rececitate us with that tattoo, then people can actually sue them. so in short, we don't get 'robbed' like most people believe. That space is grey since it tells us that, basically, "If you can't afford healthcare then here! you can die instead!" Like I said, we are told this stuff really young, I'm actually younger than you might think so if that tells you anything about the USA, it's, we are told how expensive life is young. This can benefit us rarely, by helping us to understand more about economics and the government though. Back to people getting sued. This happens way more than you think, because healthcare is expensive, so even middle class to rich people can't afford it. While fighting you can show your tattoo in court, as long as it's appropriate of course. This might be a problem for the other side's case, but doctors win over patients mostly. So if you lose, not only do you have to pay healthcare and your lawyer, but sometimes doctors also demand extra.
