ENMESHED IS NOT OVER. IT WAS JUST THE BEGINNING.
On the last chapter I promised a one-shot book for the avalanche of loose scenarios that didn't make it into the main story.
Well, F the one-shot book, Im saving all new chapters for a game mwhahaha!
Yes an actual story-driven game with choices, character portraits with multiple endings! Where you could re-create the Hank's scenario form the fic or take the charge and fall for Deimos, Sanford and even Doc! Heck if you want you could break all 4 of their hearts! More power to you!
I already started the development. Multiple story routes for the four are in place, the art is being worked on and I created a small working prototype.
I aim to create a Game annoucement trailer for the game on Madness Day 2023 and reveal my main internet alias. Before that happens, I could use your opinion to help me with further development:
1. When reading Enmeshed, did the portrayal of your Y/N's character feel off gender-wise? The story was written from my female perspective. I tried to make it as gender-neutral as possible. In case your Y/N is a man or a different gender, did your character's portrayal in the story feel off?
2. For the game I plan to create a character portrait for Y/N. I was thinking of creating a generic, gray skinned placeholder character like you see in many J-RPG's but that's kinda boring tbh. Would that kill your interest?
3. Did some of Y/N's actions in Enmeshed feel very 'out-of-place' for you? As in did the character do something you completely disagree with/would never do. If so, which scenarios?
Yee... That's all so far... Until the big annoucement on Madness Day I will bug you guys here on Wattpad.

How would you guys feel about a visual novel style game of Enmeshed?
There are so many loose scenarios I was planning to make a one-shot book about but the more I kept thinking about them the more appealing the idea of a visual novel became. You could the choose between Hank, Deimos, Sanford and even Doc.
I do art on other social media and feel confident to make the entire thing on my own, although I could use a bit of help from other writers, artists and programmers to develop the whole thing.
Given the overwhelmingly warm reception Enmeshed revived I'm not afraid to come out as a fanfic writer on my main social media and promote/update the game there.
Yeah... that's my silly idea for now. Was curious if anyone would be interested in such a concept.

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah the cover art is mine, it's pretty basic but Im capable of more defined styles as well.
As for the one-shot book. It's a way easier option compared to a visual novel is a way cooler medium, certainly worth the astronomical effort. I have actually started developing a small prototype. I feel that I should wait with publishing the one-shot scenarios of the story and incorporate them into the game first

@Antipuffy I think that would be really awesome!! If you're motivated enough, both a visual novel or a one shot book would be amazing! Your writing skills are really good (considering this is your first fanfic, it's super impressive!!) I'm guessing you also did the cover art? It looks so cool!! Promoting on your social media could help in making the game as well :] Either way, do what you're most comfortable doing! And take care \^ ^/
