I love books. :) Sometimes I even write them.

Okay...more? I'm a recently retired navy commander and scientist who is now a full-time author. I live by the sea under the benevolent rule of my canine overlords and assorted unruly family members. 

As for my published books, I started out with the Silo 49 series, which was popular for reasons I never really figured out or appreciated (or capitalized on) at the time. I've also written Strikers (featured by Amazon as a Kindle Daily Deal and thankfully, much liked) as well as a slew of stories in some of the most popular anthologies of recent years. 

My latest series just finished up. Between Life and Death, a trilogy featuring sort-of-zombies (medical nanites gone awry...yay, science!) has been well received and currently has some super-fun (yet still super-secret) developments in progress regarding that world.

I'm experimenting with Wattpad as a way to give my readers a free and more personal look into writing. I'll be writing my first draft of my next series (okay, I'm also working on other contracted projects, so not next up in line for publishing) and posting it as I write it to Wattpad. I'm nervous, but excited. Let's see how it goes!
