AbsenceOfAir

She scoffed, she felt the annoyance of the world around her sink into her thoughts. She couldn't think straight, her mind was elsewhere, traveling back in time, revealing old memories. She remembered all those days when kids would be kids. Kids would be happy all the time. She didn't feel like a kid anymore, it was strange. Every thought was filled with a sorrow or a sadness, either that or anger, hatred for everyone who had pushed her away. She had been used, abused, and broken too many times. She thought about how many times she failed, school, friends, everything. Her world was collapsing around her, like a giant ravine whose supports of an old cave wall gave up. She felt old, worn, tried, and stressed all the time. She thought about her cuts, how they were infected with salty tears. Then she thought about existence, how life would go on without her, when she was gone. She thought all that mattered was if she cared, so she did it. Life hadn't handed her the ripest of lemons. Her "friends" abandoned her when she was diagnosed. They figured she wouldn't survive anyway. So she had decided she didn't want to survive any more. She waltzed into the bathroom and started making large cuts into her cancer infected skin. On her stomach, legs, wrists. Then she bled out, until oxygen stopped coming out of her mouth. She was gone. Abandoned at the seams. Then thats where she tore apart.

She felt alone in a crowded room, although she didn't chose it. Everyone in her surroundings had pushed her away because of a stereotype that didn't exist. She felt guilty, because she was teased, abused, hurt. Her "friends" that she had, only needed or noticed her when they were having troubles of their own. They never asked, why she never spoke up, or why she wore long sleeves even though she was burning. Maybe she really was, she would burn to a crisp because of all the hate caused flames adding to her lingering torch that soon became a bon fire. Like all fires though they crumble into smoldering ashes until another spark fly and they have had enough. And thats what she did in the crowded room, full of people. She screamed and had enough. She gave up. HSe had broken herself when she was the most vulnerable. No one saw it coming, like they never knew her, they thought that she started cutting and bleeding out of nowhere. Like they had never known her. But she was saved, and that was when everyone drastically knew her, they had only paid attention when something dramatic happened. She still had told no one, leaving her conscious filled with sorrow and regret, that she had failed once again, she though, "I know I failed when I cant even die properly." Those words lingered with her.

She looked down, at Beth's body, tears crawled out of the corners of her eyes and streamed down her face. She knew she could've stopped Beth, she knew that she could've saved her. She felt guilty, as she looked at the bullet hole through Beth's head. The gun in Beth's hand, she picked it up and set it aside as she covered Beth's wounds in leaves as if they weren't there. She laid down next to Beth crying. She just laid there holding Beth as if she were alive, "I loved you" she said to the soulless body of Beth. She laid there for hours, then finally she got up. She picked handfuls of Wildflowers and Orchids and covered Beth's body Until it was a mound of leaves and petals. Tears still streaming down her face, she picked up the gun and said "I cant live without you, I need to hold you, I need to see your smile everyday. Therefore I cannot live without you, Beth." She picked up the gun and shot herself, in the stomach, she wanted to be long and painful. She had deserved it, after what had happened. She sat there laid down next to Beth slowly bleeding yet not making a sound. They shared a love that was too strong for Earth.

Keep in mind this is fiction, Beth is not real, someone did not shoot themselves. Fiction.
