About the Author
Malik Sharif is a storyteller shaped by the old world and the new-born of Southeast Asian soil, raised on the whispered legends of ancestors, and nurtured by tales passed from tongue to tongue, heart to heart. The Shell of Djinns is more than a novel; it is the living echo of his family's mythology, drawn from the shadowed edges of memory, ritual, and forgotten realms.

Inspired by the mystical stories once told by his late grandfather and kept alive by his father and kin, Malik weaves truth with imagination, animism with fantasy, and Southeast Asia's spiritual pulse into a world where djinns stir, spirits linger, and destinies are bound by blood. He writes to honor what was never written down-but always remembered.

Malik lives in Singapore, where city lights meet ancient dreams. This is his first novel.
