Shattered Pieces (MHA Fanfiction)
          Prologue
          
          I was never like everyone else. This was made abundantly clear to me at a very young age. I grew up in a lab all alone as an experiment. I didn't know much of anything about the outside world. All I knew was the dull cement walls and floors of the lab they kept me in. I knew very little of the language, no one ever talked to me. They used their hands to motion me to do what they wanted with the occasional simple one- or two-word command. If I didn't understand or if I didn't comply, they would make me by force. For a while I didn't know there was another way of life. I thought this was all there was, and I hated every second of my existence.
          
          The day I realized that there was more to the world than the lab is a day I will never forget. A small boy with dry and crusty skin and medium length white hair came into the lab and the scientists trying to work on him were all disintegrated before my eyes. The boy and I stared at each other emotionlessly for a minute before the man who orchestrated every aspect of my very existence walked through the door of the lab and spoke to the other boy. "Tomura, I hired those doctors to help you. It will be hard for me to find people who can help you like they could. They were going to make you stronger and help you control yourself. Please behave yourself Tomura." His deep and smooth voice spoke. At the time I didn't understand what he was saying but later I came to understand what had happened that day.
