So one of the original creators of Rooster Teeth Burnie Barns has purchased the channel back into his possession. For how much? I really don't know and quite frankly he is probably out of the 4 the best one to acquire the rights to Rooster Teeth.
But the question is, is it too little too late? The answer is possibly.
The reputation/hype around RT has been melting into a puddle for many years before it's closing. And honestly any hope or chance to bring back it's audience to it's peak levels is quite a challenge for Burnie.
Rwby is a heaping mess of plot holes and forced agendas and propaganda that tarnished a dead man's dream and memory (even if you disagree I really don't care at this point, there's a shit ton of evidence showing how much they pretty much tarnished the series) and even their flagship series had lackluster/pointless seasons with RVB which also started to gain these awful pushed and forced agendas and weak story.
Since RT is now solely owned by Burnie (to my knowledge) funding for projects will be tough and might have to be crowd funded which is a hit or miss and doesn't guarantee success even achieving it.
My personal advice is, start completely fresh, build up the brand again by doing simple stuff and not dive head first into the deep end because that will only be DOA when it occurs. You need to work up trust and reputation again by doing smaller things and slowly work your way up again.
That is the only way I see it actually winning both fans and gaining good reception without it being corrupt.
But then we hit the point that he's friends with most of the people who were the very cause of its demise in the first place so hope for it to turn around is slim to none.
As much as I would believe he can do it or return it to fame, is hardly possible. I predict some success but mostly failures that eventually will sink the brand into obscurity.
Just my general outlook really.
