I see myself as one of the new breed of pioneering self-publishing authors. I only became an author by chance. In 2010 I was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of psoriatic arthritis. The rapid spread of the disease and the resulting struggle to combat pain and crippling joint damage led to me retiring from business life in 2013.
After spending almost thirty successful years working with some of the worlds leading brands in the fashion and outdoor industries, forced retirement came as an utter culture shock. Unable to work in what at the time I considered the traditional sense, writing by means of speech recognition software became a means to keep my mind active. I believe that I write from a fairly unique perspective as someone who has lived and breathed in the cosseted world of senior executives able to travel first class from one international fashion show to the next with the luxury of uncapped expense accounts and purchasing budgets that run into millions. Characters in the books stay in hotels and eat in restaurants all of which were once part of my daily life and are described with atmospheric detail.

The successful publication of The Calvi Parallax in July 2014 was quickly followed by The Calvi Continuance novellas about Arlo Negri and Alex Bale in 2014. The second book in the Ereptio Series, The Avignon Quorum, is due to be published in time fo
