the jedi hardly ever got a real break. if she wasn’t on a mission, she was helping train younglings. if she wasn’t training younglings, she was doing extra training with her padawan. she never really got a chance to rest except for at night, which was also the only time she got to spend alone with her husband. she felt awful that her time with obi-wan was full of her being stressed out. she wanted their time together to be happy. she did, however, appreciate his attempts to make her feel better.
“it feels wrong to hear you call me darling in the middle of the temple,” she replied softly to him, resting her hand on his upper arm after she glanced around them, just ensuring nobody was there, “but i am quite curious as to what these surprises are.” no matter what it was, she was sure she would adore it. if it came from obi-wan, she was sure to love it.
the jedi took the other’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. that was something else they hardly got to do. everything a normal married couple got to do, they didn’t. it was rough having to hide their love, but they still made it through.

( id: wifey @-lostallfaith ) kara was constantly busy working. the man knew how stressed his wife was. he always did his best to help alleviate that stress, but it wasn't as easy with their ever changing busy schedules. these dates were his way of trying to calm his wife. besides, he would never turn down time with her. especially when they could be husband and wife. he had called in a favor from a certain senator to request a naboo ship. the planet was truly beautiful. besides jedi were not common on the planet, and he doubted the two would be recognized. he had packed normal clothing on the ship as well in case or if they wanted something different. he had found the most beautiful black dress on one of his missions. it was simplistic unlike most naboo fashion, but he knew his wife's preferences. it sat on the ship accompanies with a royal blue velvet robe for him. " there are many surprises to come tonight , my darling. " he held his hand out to kara. he loved holding her hand, and it wasn't often the couple was able to do so. it was a simple pleasure that so many took for granted.

obi-wan had always been kara’s biggest cheerleader, even when they were younglings. he was her training partner when she decided to learn new saber techniques, and the entire time he would just watch her in awe. she was more than appreciative of his support. she knew he saw just how hard she was working. she was always more than just the grand master’s padawan to him. he always saw *her*.
with most of the jedi gone for the day, she assumed the two of them would spend time together in some way, shape, or form. leave it to obi-wan to have something planned for them. “well, lead the way, master kenobi,” she said with a loving smile as she looked up at him, “i love it when you plan things for us. *especially* when they’re surprises.” the duo’s date nights had become predictable sometimes, since there wasn’t much they could do inside the jedi temple that wouldn’t draw attention to themselves. but every once in a while, obi-wan would surprise her with something new, and she always loved it.
