I’m so tempted to write an original story but the problem is I either have too many ideas or no ideas to sort them together to create an original story

@rawhorror the struggle is so real, having too many ideas but not having a plot with this ideas

When you want to write an original book but you have too many ideas to the point you don’t know where to begin…is my current struggle.

Then I have another idea that’s academic rivals to lovers with hints of mystery and fantasy. I have other ideas but these are the two I could actually draft together.

For instance I have this one idea that’s heavily inspired by 10 things I hate about you, Mama Mia, and a bit of Gilmore Girls with some magical elements that could be titled “Honey, Honey, My Heart” with the trope of second chance romance?

What are your least favorite tropes in books, and why?? Mine is miscommunication & cheating tropes like they’re other ways to create suspense or drama in books, especially if they get back together with the person they’re relationship and they cheated

@-CELESTIELS yess exactly !! im also not a fan of the amnesia trope

@icecoffeeluver RIGHT!! Like no amount of writing could convince me to like the pregnancy trope. Also, I agree with you that if it’s written well I could handle the love triangles trope but if not you would catch being the number one hater

Crazy thought but would anyone be interested in a charmed fic (1998 version!) that’s inspired by one of my fav novels “enchantra” by Kaylie Smith??

-CELESTIELS

Favorite thing about writing is writing one of my fav book tropes haunting the narrative. In this case, writing a character haunting the narrative but we’re starting the book with trauma and how this character is basically haunting another character, and I’m literally listening to silver springs and how did it end by Taylor Swift while writing this chapter for Written in Ruins

-CELESTIELS

Love when books (physical & digital) always have that one character that always haunt the narrative

-CELESTIELS

@nostalgiclogan SAME!! There are tropes I would get tired of because some books have copy & paste like enemies to lovers but haunting the narrative trope would never get old because it could be any type of character like family, friends, or lovers
