She's always been the young one. The one everyone watches out for without really meaning to. The one who laughs easily, shrugs things off, says she's fine, even when she isn't. Lately, though, something has changed. She's quieter. More distant. There's a weight she carries that no one quite knows how to name. The team notices. The silences linger. Questions go unasked. This is a story about what happens when something unspoken starts to seep into everyday life: about friendship, protection, and the moments people don't see.

Lara Wells has never been the loud one. For six years, she's quietly held her place at London City Lionesses, loyal, reliable, and unnoticed beyond the pitch. She's the player you forget to interview but always want on your team. When her younger sister Phoebe convinces her to start a podcast "for fun," Lara expects it to flop after two episodes. Instead, Between the Lines becomes a surprise hit, part football chat, part sisterly chaos. But one offhand comment about elderly people playing walking football spirals into something bigger than either of them imagined. Soon Lara's organising her own "Walking League," a community project for older players at Hayes Lane. What starts as a joke turns into a movement, drawing laughter, crowds, and eventually, the attention of football's brightest star: Alexia Putellas. Lara doesn't expect Alexia to show up at her session, or to bring her mother along to play. She definitely doesn't expect to end up working with her. But as the two women build something new together, Lara starts to realise that maybe her story, on and off the pitch, is only just beginning. A love story about legacy, quiet ambition, and finding connection at your own pace. 08.03.1995

"I don't really know what to think....your in the world cup final- my first world cup final and it's your team that's done it!" I squealed, my arms bobbing up and down in excitement. "You mean mine and your ex-loves team, Aunt?" Camrynn questioned. I nudged her arm, giving her a death stare. I hated being reminded of how my family betrayed me, and she knew it. OR Janila Thompson was *cough "best friends" *cough* with Lucy Bronze growing up. They went to the same school, had the same teachers, were told they couldn't play football at the same time, they WERE the same. If they didn't have different looks and surnames you would think they were twins. That all changed in the summer of 2003 however, when with no warning her parents took off to Australia, giving no time for Janila to say goodbye to Lucy. They never saw each other again...until now. Will they will recognise each other? Would they get along? But the most important question: Would they still love each other? At all?
