Widowmaker x Reader Part 3

This was supposed to be a simple mission, go in, get our information, and get out. Akande put me and Widow on team for the first time in months and this is just my luck. An enemy of talon, or Overwatch really, rigged this place to detonate with everyone inside. So lucky the only ones stuck are me and Widowmaker. We need to find an escape route.

"Let's try breaking the door, there has to be a away to escape."

I go to the door and try every code Sombra gave me but none are working. I sigh angrily as I realize this is it.

"Fucking hell! Someone changed the codes. We're locked in till that thing explodes."

"What do you mean were locked in?!"

I don't say anything to Widowmaker, what else can you say when you're going to die with an exact timer. We still have 3 hours to get help but without knowing how to contact Talon what's the point. I sigh as I reach into my coat and find my flask, good time as any to be tipsy.

"Want some?"

Amélie nods her head as she takes a few swigs.

"So. This is the end."

"I guess so."

I listen to the ticking of the bomb and close my eyes. A whole life wasted. I never really did anything I wanted or lived my life. I feel Amélie get up and when I look at her she has a hand reached to me. I take it as she helps me up but she doesn't let go of my hand.

"What are you?"

"Please, one last dance."

I take her hand, she puts her other on my shoulder and I put my other on her waist. We gently sway with a song both of us can feel but we can't hear. Amélie rests her head on my chest and I can feel her start to shake. I sigh softly as I let go of her hand and wrap both my arms around her and gently sway.

"(Y/n). I'm sorry for everything. I know nothing I can do right now will fix anything but I just..."

"Shhh it's ok. Let's not think about that right now. Let's just enjoy this."

I rest my head on top Amélie's as we waited. I feel her start to shake a bit more so I gently sit us both down. She sits in my lap as I hold her to my chest.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

I wait as Amélie closes her eyes and her breathing is normal before I close my eyes, I'd rather die while in a dream instead of listening to the bomb tick away. It's been a long day, maybe I can finally rest.
