Chapter 8

Laila's Pov

It's Monday today and Im helping Naya for a week with her shop while she's at home resting. I wouldn't be attending school to teach for a week because of that. I'm thankful that Mr Richard and Lola has been understanding. As some may have not taken to any liking if the person they just hired need to take a leave the next day.

Yesterday, Luna, Naya and I have been hanging out at home together. We just order pizza and watch movies for the whole day. We can't do anything too hyper because Naya still needs her rest. After that Luna was being picked up by her driver to send her back home by the 'order' of her brother because it's getting late. As per usual she gets pissed with her brother's protectiveness but Naya and me just calm her down.

The cake shop is now filled with a lot of customers who was queueing to buy the specials today. You see Naya would always have a specials once a week. She would bring in a new type of cakes, pastries, cupcakes or different flavored drinks. It would attract more customers and most of them would be fighting over it because it would be for a limited amount of time. And today was just the lucky day that the specials are in. That's why the shop is overly crowded with customers. Luckily, Naya hired some staffs so I wouldn't be handling the shop alone for the week. *whew this is hard* I thought tiredly as I ring up the orders of the customers.

It was already 7.05pm and I'm tired and moody due to some bitchy and stuck-up customers. I don't even know how Naya can handle this everyday and would still be home happy. I'm glad that I'm going home soon as the shop closes at 7pm everyday. Most of the staffs has went home and now left only me and Mandy, this 19-year old girl who has been working for Naya for 3 months. She was packing her stuffs to go home while I was counting the money earned today.

"Are you sure you don't need any help? I can definitely stay for a while to help." She said kindly.

"Nah. You go and rest. You have school tomorrow anyway. So you need a lot of rest since you are schooling while working. Your mama must be so proud to have a daughter like you." I said gently and praising her while smiling. She and her mother have been through a lot. Her mother was ill and her father was a drunkard who would always beat her and her mom up. But luckily they get to escaped from him and gets to live a new life. I respected her for it because most teenagers run away from their problem and leave their love ones behind. But she still take cares of her mother even if her mother is ill and she works really hard to support both of them while still schooling.

She was the most highly payed in this shop but other employees didn't know that. She was really humble and selfless. She even wanted to get payed the same as the other workers because she wanted fairness. But Naya still give her a high pay.

"Ok if you're sure then." She said uncertainly. I just nod and shooed her out of the shop playfully. After she went out of the shop, I continue counting the money. A few minutes after I'm putting away the money there is a ring of bell sounded, signaling there's a customer. *oh shit I forget to turn the open sign to close* I thought stupidly.

"Sorry were close." I said without looking up thinking that the person would walk out. But the footsteps was still heard coming nearer to me where I'm at the cashier. I look up and saw the most hottest man alive. He is the epitome of a Greek god. He is wearing a suit which looks really expensive. But I ignore the thought and repeat what I said. But the guy no the man just stare at me.

"Don't you know who I am? I am Aiden-" He said arrogantly. I just raise one of my eyebrow looking at him unaffectedly and cutting him off. Who did he think he is. The president? I'm tired and moody so don't you dare mess with me because I want to go home straight and have a good sleep.

"Look I don't know and I don't care who you are but we're closed for the day. In case your blind and did not see the words outside, it says we're closed at 7pm. And now it's 7.30pm and I'm going home. So if you don't mind, you can walk yourself to the door." I said rudely dismissing him immediately while looking him in the eye so he can see that I'm serious. *gosh I hate stuck-up people* I thought angrily.

He look shocked and was speechless. Probably no girls have ever speak to him like that and he must be expecting me to crawl on my knees to him and listen to every words he says.

"Look I really would like you to bring your conceited, hoity-toity, high and mighty, uppity, snooty and stuck-up little ass out of my shop immediately." I say sassily while pointing my finger to the door and raising my eyebrow at him challengingly. His face change drastically as he starts to get angry. But before he could say anything I shout at him 'now' for him to go already.

Angry was an understatement by the look on his face. He just slam his fist on the counter scaring me and walk out of the shop angrily while slamming the door in the process. I just shrugged my shoulders and take my things to go home. *what a moody man* I thought amusedly.
