  The boy in glasses and the tall boy with sandy hair walked beside the girl with pins in her hair. You've always envied her. For someone to be able to stand beside the two main basketball players. You always wished it was you. You and Riko were friends and you've always envied her.

  Finally, gathering up your courage, "Riko?" You asked, standing next to her, watching the basketball team run.

  "Yes?"

  "Do you like someone?"

  Riko's pen clattered on the floor as her face turned red. "Wh-what are you talking about?"

  "From the team... Do you like someone from the team?"

  "Th-that..."

  "So you do..." Disappointment did not hide.

  "(L/N)-chan! I said nothing! B-but... If you do! And if you like the same person as me... I-I'll see you as a rival! And... And... I'll never give up even if you win him over! But we'll definitely! Still be friends!" Riko's eyes sparkled and she held your shoulders firmly.

  "Riko..."

  Riko gave you a huge grin and picked up the pen on the ground. "Let's just see and find out!"

  You remembered the amazing smile on her face and how you felt then. Conflicted. But you were sure that you and Riko weren't going to stop being friends because of this.

  Hyuuga and Kiyoshi patted Riko's head and Kiyoshi bid them goodbye as Hyuuga and Riko walked back together. You'd have asked why and Riko had told you that they were neighbors.

  Kiyoshi walked you home instead, leaving you two letters before leaving. A small smile on his face though fear clearly laced his eyes. He said goodbye, his soft voice clear though you didn't know what to say.

  You've talked to Hyuuga and Kiyoshi before. They were nice to you, kind... The two letters you held in your hands as you read... You were baffled. What was going on?
