I woke up in the sickbay of the Argo II. That meant it must have been pretty severe. Everything was extremely bright and dots were dancing in front of me.

Jason was by my side. I couldn't turn my head so inftead I just grabbed his arm. He stood up and looked over me. I blinked a couple of times and gave him the one moment symbol.

When the room stopped spinning I looked straight at him.

"Hey Sparky," I said.

He slightly laughed. "How are you feeling?"

I thought a moment. My body was numb and I tried to focus. "I really don't know. I can't feel anything."

Jason helped me sit up and gave me some ambrosia. Then he went up to get the others. I looked t my knee.

It was wrapped in something other than purple cloth from Reyna's cloak. I reminded myself I needed to thank her for saving me. If not for her all of the blood from my stomache that had escaped would've killed me.

Annabeth was the first to enter the room. "Piper!" She exclaimed, "You're alive!"

"Barely," I said.

Annabeth came over and sat on the edge of the bed right when everyone else burst through the door.  They all started talking at once. Asking what happened, how big the manticore was, if it was really dead or not, and Percy was asking something about pie.

The fight had been two days ago. I was out for two whole days.

Jason explained to me that after I fell asleep, he and Reyna wandered in Kansas prairie for hours. Leo finally found them right around Topeka, which I didn't like.

Jason said Leo found them right where Jason, Percy, and I met Baccus.

Well, long story short, Jason hadn't left the sickbay until I had woken up.

"Okay, guys," Annabeth said, "Let's give Piper some space. So, leave."

Everyone tried to get out the door at one time; it was funny. When we heard everyone finally get up the stairs, Annabeth said, "Finally, I've been dying to takl to you alone ever since Reyna came on board."

A shiver went up my back. "Yeah?"

Annabeth went to shut the door. "I used to be in your same position." Annabeth couldn't meet my eyes. "I mean, mentally, not physically."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"There's this girl. She's at camp now. Percy used to fall for her, and we went on a quest together through the Labyrinth. I knew I had to make Percy mine, so I--" she hesitated, "I kissed him unexpectedly. Well, he didn't die and the girl can't date because--" Annabeth turned to face me. "Because the oracle can't date."

The oracle? I couldn't figure out who the oracle was. I looked at Annabeth for help.

"Rachel Dare," Annabeth said, sitting on the bed next to mine.

"Rachel?" I asked. "You used to compete for Percy with her?"

Annabeth nodded. "My point is... someday you and Reyna will be best friends like Rachel and I. As long as the daughter of Aphrodite wins Jason." We laughed.

Then I remembered that Reyna and I had made that deal. Did Reyna save me just because we made that deal?

"Hey, Annabeth?" I said, "There's something I need to tell you about Reyna and me."
