Messing Around In The Forest

A few weeks later you were stood on a tree branch in the forest alingside Rouge. The branch wiggled a little so you grabbed onto the branch above you and began messing around singing to yourself when suddenly the branch you were holding on broke.

You landed on your back and winced a little before getting back up

"That stung a little...", you muttered to yourself before looking up at Rouge who was looking at you from the branch she was perched on.

"You ok there Y/N?", she asked with a giggle.

"Yeah I'm fine. Kinda stung but I'm fine", you replied before getting back up the tree and up to the branch Rouge was perched on. She ruffled your hair playfully before kissing your cheek.

"What's it like sleeping in abandoned cabins or tree branches?", you asked her. She took a moment to think.

"It's actually pretty good aside from when it gets cold", she replied. You pulled her close and hugged her

"I'm sure sleeping in cabins is better than on tree branches", you suggested. She simply nodded

"Yeah but it's kinda boring when you don't have a lot of space to relax on. It's warmer, sure, but when you literally have one place to rest in, it gets boring", she replied.

"What's the weirdest place you've ever slept? Like on a roof? In a tree, as in a hole in the actual tree?", you asked her. She took a moment to think about all the places she slept on

"There was one where I slept upside down on a tree branch like a bat. What about you?", she asked and you showed her a picture that Benny had took of you sleeping in a large cardboard box. She burst out laughing at the sight of it.

"I was extremely tired and just said fuck it. Went straight to sleep in the nearest thing I could find. Although that does explain why I felt stiff the next morning", you explained. Rouge got up and so did you. The two of you went down the tree and headed into a nearby cabin because it was getting cold outside. You found a convenient pack of marshmallows in a cupboard

"Huh, neat", you said to yourself before looking them over. Rouge noticed the pack and she was surprised

"Never seen them before", she said before her stomach growled. You also found a convenient bar of chocolate and a pack of crackers.

"Ok this cannot be coincidental", you said showing her the stuff and she giggled.

"You think Slenderwoman planned this?", she asked and you shrugged

"Maybe. You hungry?", you asked and she nodded before you set about making some food. You broke the crackers in half, added the chocolate and then melted the marshmallow on your flamethrower and claw, keeping the flame at a safe temperature so the whole place didn't burn, before putting them on the chocolate and putting the other half of the cracker on top. The two of you sat in a comfortable silence eating the marshmallow chocolate sandwiches. When you were finished, Rouge laid back giving a burp.

"That was delicious. What are they?", she asked

"Apparently people call them smores. Stupid name really. I just call it what it is. Marshmallow chocolate sandwiches", you replied and she giggled before putting her mask on a nearby table. You didn't bring your mask with you so you didn't need to worry. Rouge looked you in the eyes blushing.

"Y/N, remember when we first met?", she asked and you nodded

"Yeah, we tried to kill each other", you replied causing you both to laugh.

"Well, I think we've gotten closer to each other since then and I want to tell you something", she said looking down. You gently raised her chin up and smiled

"Don't tell. Show", you said and the two of you leant closer to each other, your lips pressing against each other. When you broke away, the two of you were blushing.

"That's how I feel about you", Rouge said. You grabbed her and hugged her

"Same way I feel about you Rouge", you replied before yawning. She found a bed and the two of you laid together in it. Rouge kissed you again before resting her head under your chin. You stroked her hair and kissed her forehead before the two of you fell asleep together in a comfortable warm embrace.
