"GET DOWN!" (Name) yelled. He grabbed the back of Layla's head and pushed her down with him, the two of them falling to the dirty floor with a loud grunt. Immediately (Name) looked up, and saw a group of big, heavily armed men with swords on their backs, wearing thick, black clothing and multiple weapons strapped to their bodies. He cursed, and Layla and him stood up quickly, drawing their weapons and pointing them at the crowd of men. "MALEFIC GUN!" Layla yelled. The gun she held in her hands shot out a big, blue and black beam that hit the group of heavily armed men straight on, making them yell.

Layla grabbed (Name)'s hand and looked in his widened eyes, saying only two words: "Let's run." (Name) grasped her hand tightly and pulled her to direction behind them, both running as fast as they possibly could. The group of men chased after them, their numbers having decreased a bit from Layla's attack. The two marksmen dodged attacks and sprinted down long, twisting hallways and jumped down shallow holes leading to another exit. "Shit!" Layla cussed upon reaching a dead end. She looked around frantically before finding an unnoticed, old and dusty trapdoor covered by a light tarp that was slowly deteriorating.

Layla let go of (Name)'s hand for a moment, grabbing the tarp and grunting with effort to open the trapdoor. (Name) ran over to help her, and the female marksman shoved her new lover down the trap door once it was open, jumped in herself, draped the tarp over the still open trap door and shut it closed. "Move away." Layla ordered, and the two backed away a couple of feet before the blonde marksman raised her gun and powered another Malefic Gun, shooting it at the feeble and light walls nearest to the trap door.

The walls immediately collapsed, causing a bunch of rocks and rubble to cover the trap door and the entrance. (Name) grabbed her hand and pointed to the narrow hallway. "I think I saw an exit there." He declared. "Well then? What are you waiting for! Let's go!" The two grabbed each other's hands once again and ran lightly down the hallway, squeezing through a small column of pillars and ending up finding a hole which led to the sewers. "We might be able to find a sewer cap that leads to a populated area." (Name) murmured, his (colour) eyes staring down at the dirty, green sewer water by the dusty sidewalks in disgust.

Layla nodded her head in agreement. "I'll go down first." Before (Name) could reply, the blonde marksman had already jumped down. He sighed when she barely avoided jumping into the sewer water, stiffening her legs and flailing her arms furiously so she wouldn't fall. Layla sighed. "That was close." (Name) rolled his eyes and gave a brief laugh (which Layla glared at him for) and jumped down next to her. "Now to find a sewer cap." He sighed, and the two of them knew it may take a long while.

Indeed, it took quite a long while. They wandered around seemingly aimlessly, hoping to catch a glimpse of metal on the ceiling, to no avail. Eventually they sat down the floor and changed out of their hero forms, saving their energy. They were playing Rock, Paper, Scissors while Layla sat primly in her red dress and dirtied white stockings and (Name) sat across from her, his black scarf wrapped around his neck and his white shirt in tatters. Layla groaned when she lost to her boyfriend for the third time in a row.

“That's not fair!” She whined, making (Name) laugh. “Paper beats rock, so...” He smirked when Layla pouted, making her heart all aflutter, not like she'd ever admit it. She was too prideful to admit it to anyone, especially (Name). He laughed again when Layla turned away childishly. She suddenly saw a glimpse of metal on the ceiling, making her shoot up and effectively startling (Name). “What's wrong? Are you okay?” He asked worriedly. Layla began to stand up, and (Name) joined her.

She jogged over and stared up at the circle of metal on the ceiling. “A sewer cap! Freakin' finally!” He dusted off the wall, and there was, in fact, a ladder. “Wonder how we didn't notice this before,” Layla wondered, watching (Name) climb the first steps of the ladder so he could reach up and open the latch. With effort, (Name) was able to open it, and after he climbed out, Layla climbed out after it. “Fresh air!” She sighed, stretching her arms, and (Name) tried not to stare at her lovely skin that was covered in a light sheen of sweat.

(Name) smiled tiredly. “I know right?” He grimaced when he saw the sky. “It's got to be really late, I don't think no one's up at this time.” He commented, seeing the large litter of stars that covered the blue-black duvet of the sky. Layla raised a brow at him, finger pointing toward the police station, which was still bustling with life, what with the policemen and occasional players getting their first war license.

(Name) frowned, wondering why players were staying up so late to play their first games. “Well, I'll guess it's our lucky day.” He sighed, standing up. He dusted his pants off and put out a hand for Layla took, which she took gladly, stumbling to her feet. “Ugh, heels,” She complained as they walked towards the police station. “maybe you shouldn't have worn them on the first place.” (Name) suggested harmlessly. Layla scoffed. “Well if I had known that the restaurant we went to was jacked then I wouldn't have worn them in the first place!” She said.

(Name) paused for a moment to think. The restaurant Layla took him to was supposed to a date. Their first date. “When this is all over, I say we go on a proper, real date.” (Name) blurted out suddenly, stopping in his tracks just as Layla did. She turned to him with a surprised look, which quickly morphed into a warm smile that made butterflies flutter in his stomach. “Yeah, indeed. Ideally somewhere villains are the least attracted to.” She responded softly, making (Name)'s heart skip a beat.

He smiled at her. “Yeah, indeed.” Their hands found each other's, and they held hands the rest of the short walk to the police station.

(Name) and Layla stood at the crossing intersection, watching as a familiar group of men in black were arrested, being led to their jail cells. “Fucking finally,” Layla sighed, a hand resting on her hip. It was 3 am in the morning, and the two marksmen had spent all night signing papers and talking with policemen. It had been very stressful, so watching the criminals that ruined their date get arrested was quite satisfying if you ask them.

“I'm so tired.” (Name) groaned, stretching his arms over his head. Layla nodded sluggishly in agreement as they left the intersection. They just had to walk out of the police station to log off, and they could go to sleep for maybe a week. The two walked out, and Layla bent on her knees. “I'll see you tomorrow morning.” She smiled tiredly at the other marksman. He gave her the same smile.

“Tomorrow.” (Name) agreed. The two shared a sweet goodnight kiss before logging off.

Layla laughed loudly and threw popcorn at the giant cinema screen. They were on their first movie date, and they had chosen a comedy movie called 'Niamh's Tricks: The Life of Being A Call Girl'. It was quite amusing to watch, seeing the main character, Niamh, trick boys into hooking up with her and leaving them broke as hell when she left in the early morning for work at a local McDonald's. (Name) was grinning widely and squeezing her free hand tightly, also amused by the movie, but not as much as watching his girlfriend get nasty looks for laughing way too loud.

“Quiet down, we'll get kicked out.” He laughed softly, though they both knew he would have cared less if it did happen. Layla turned to him a with wide grin on his face. “Never.” She chirped happily before turning back to the screen and laughing some more. (Name) sighed happily and sunk more into his seat, squeezing Layla's hand one more time before letting go to wrap his arm around her. She leaned into his warmth. What an interesting pair they make.
