The flight from Las Vegas McCarran International to the Sydney Kingsford Smith airport is 18 hours and 24 minutes, and Gypsy specifically picks this flight because there's a layover in the Los Angeles International Airport for two hours.
Gypsy is very excited to be able to say that she will be in Los Angeles for two hours.
"So you're leaving us, Gypsy?"
"It's only goodbye for a few days, Francisco," she says to the smiling gardener. "Sheesh-between you and Harry, you'd think I was moving there forever."
Gypsy sits at the front desk of Charming on Tuesday having successfully booked her ticket to Australia-Sydney, to be exact.
"P Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney," Harry sang before he shook his head of very long hair and said, "Are you sure this is what you want to do, love?"
And now, he stands beside Francisco and sighs again because-he and Matty had a very long conversation about this beforehand -he is not so sure that Gypsy is traveling to Sydney for the right reasons especially considering the fact that she's been "talking" to this ex of hers and already he isn't so sure how he feels about that.
"You're sure you want to do this, love?"
"Sheesh, Harry."
"S'just that," he pauses, "doesn't that guy live there-that bloke you're talking to, again?"
"His name's Calum, Harry, and I think you're overreacting."
"M'definitely not overreacting."
"Like you did with Justin when you first met? Okay, Harry."
"I had a right to be worried-"
"But, you didn't know him, then! And you don't know Calum, now-"
"And you're not dating him now for a reason, yeah?" Harry fires back. "Yeah, Justin's my mate, okay, but this ex of yours is not my mate and I just don't want you to get hurt, love."
"What's wrong with Calum?" Francisco asks, because he's looking between the two of them and can sense some very thick tension and he's smiling because this short break of his that he decided to take has become very interesting, indeed.
"Nothing's wrong with him," Gypsy replies quickly. "And you all forget that he's not the only one I'm going down there to see. I've got four friends and he's only one of them."
Francisco can't help but notice the scowl on Harry's face. "So, what's the problem, then?"
"Ask Gypsy."
"There is none."
And Francisco shakes his head and chuckles softly and sighs because they're both starring at each other and there is no doubt in his mind at this moment that there is more than just tension stifling the air between them.
"Well," he says, because he's decided that this is quite enough excitement for one day and he should probably get back to work. "I hope you have fun, Gyspy," he says honestly because he does, and this elicits a smile from her.
"Thank you, Francisco," she says, because she's excited and doesn't need anyone to ruin her excitement or her fun.
He winks. "And you know, we're always here for you when you get back," he says. "So, don't hesitate to call if you need anything."
And this, of course, makes Gypsy smile both inwardly and outwardly; she feels warm inside and grins largely because her grandmother was right-somehow, these people in Charming do make up some kind of random dysfunctional family and she's a part of it.
