'If You Knew' by Joel Faviere (Song Preference. )

Harry:

 They think you’re crazy,
They think your mad
They call you stupid, worthless,
Tell you you’re not worth it

It was another day of hell. Yes, school had never been an enjoyable experience for you. You had dyslexia, making it difficult to read smoothly and properly. Today was one of the worst yet. Your teacher had singled you out, being perfectly aware of your problem and told you to read aloud to the class. You were scared but you obliged to her request. As you started reading, the words came out stuttered and jumbled. Immediately, the whole class started laughing and you even noticed the teacher covering her mouth to stop the giggling. “She’s so stupid!” “No, she’s a crazy freak! She’s worthless!” “How does she have a boyfriend?” “Freak of nature she is!” Those were only some of the insults thrown at you after class. Obviously they didn’t understand dyslexia. You decided it was all too much. You couldn’t stay at school anymore so you texted Harry saying you weren’t feeling good and asked him to pick you up. He texted you back almost instantly, telling you he would be there in five minutes. You signed out and walked outside to see Harry waiting by his car. He saw your tear streaked face and sighed sympathetically as you walked straight into his arms. “You aren’t sick are you?” he asked into your hair. You shook your head, grabbing fistfuls of his t-shirt and crying more. “They all made fun of me. Even the teacher,” you whimpered out. “Oh, baby,” he said, holding you tighter. “I don’t want to go back there Harry,” you whispered with a shaky voice. “It’s okay babe, we’ll work something out. But for now, let’s go home.” He opened the passenger door for you and shut it before going to his side and driving off, not letting go of your hand the whole way home.

Liam:

 Now you’re walking back,
To a place you call home
But you feel so alone

The one time you needed him the most and he wasn’t there. You had just gotten a call from back home. It was your best friend’s mom, who had become like a second mother to you when your mom passed away. She told you that your best friend’s cancer had returned but this time worse than ever and she was fading fast. There was only a matter of days before she would pass and there was no way of getting to her. The minute you hung up the phone you collapsed to your knees in the middle of the sidewalk. Your puppy, who you had been walking at the time started licking your hands as you wiped the steady flow of tears. You got up and walked straight back to your house. You needed Liam and even if it was just a phone call, you just needed something. It was like every action you did, was automatic, no emotion, just tears. “Hey love!” he answered in a cheerful tone. “Liam,” you said, your voice breaking. “(Y/N)? What’s wrong?” His voice changed immediately. “M-my friend is d-dying!” you cried, finally letting go. “Oh my god… it came back?” he asked, knowing about the condition. You nodded, but knowing he couldn’t see that, you had to speak. “Yes it did! Liam I’m so scared! I’m all alone, I need you…” you continued to cry. “Okay, baby, I need you to take deep breaths for me… I’m booking a flight home right now, you’re more important right now… Oh god… It’s going to be okay I’ll be home soon. Be strong (Y/N), I love you.” “I love you too Li,” you whimpered, knowing in a few short hours, you wouldn’t be so alone anymore.

Niall:

 The same hurtful hits
It’s your darker place
In your virgin ears,
The remarks they made

You hid in your bedroom, trying anything to block out your parents shouting in the next room. They had been going at it for at least two hours now and in those two hours, you had heard words escape their mouths that you had never heard them use before. “NO, IT’S YOUR FAULT YOU ASSHOLE!” “WELL IF YOU WEREN’T SUCH A FUCKING BITCH, I WOULDN’T OF HAD TO SLEEP WITH HER!” “SO YOU DID CHEAT ON ME!” “YES! YOU HAPPY NOW? I ADMIT IT, BUT SHE’S WAY BETTER IN BED THAN YOU EVER WERE, AT LEAST SHE TRIES!” “YOU SON OF A BITCH! GET OUT OF THIS FUCKING HOUSE!” “NO! IT’S MY HOUSE! YOU GET OUT!” “OH SO YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOU’RE THE MAN OF THIS HOUSE, YOU CAN KICK ME OUT? YOU’RE SO IMMATURE YOU ROTTEN BASTARD!” Then there was a noise you never wanted to hear. The crack of a hand hitting skin and your mother screaming. “YOU SLIMY FUCK!!!” You couldn’t take it anymore, you picked up your iPhone and called Niall. “I need you to pick me up,” you cried, not even giving him a chance to speak. “Okay, I’m on my way.” “Hurry,” you squeaked. The yelling was still going on, only now your mother was crying and screaming while your dad kept telling her to shut up. You got a text not five minutes later from Niall, telling you he was on the front step. You jumped off the bed and ran downstairs, knowing your parents would hear you. You whipped open the front door and there was Niall. “Niall!” you gasped, falling into his open arms. “Princess! Oh my god! What’s wrong?” “My dad hit my mom!” you yelled, getting angry at your father. “No, no… you’re staying with me, let’s get you out of here.” The fight could be heard from outside as Niall lead you to his car. As you shook in the passenger seat, he started the car but didn’t get too far because you broke down again. He pulled over and pulled you over to his lap. “It’s okay princess, I’m here now. You’re safe, nobody can hurt you now.” He stroked your hair and held you tight until you calmed down a little before driving to his house and holding you close.

Zayn:

And if they, if they really knew,
All those things
That you do in your room to hide the pain
I bet their minds would change

“You’re worthless (Y/N), how the hell is Zayn even with you? You’re just a whore using him for his money!” your best friend screamed at you. “Who the hell do you think you are?” you screamed back. “It’s true!” That was it. “Get out, get the FUCK out of my house! You’re not welcome back,” you growled. She scoffed, grabbed her things and left. The minute the door shut, you started to cry. Those things she said about your boyfriend crossed a huge line and you couldn’t even imagine somebody saying that about him. You went into your bedroom and locked the door, sliding down against it and crying. It was then, something shiny caught your eye. Yes, your old friend. The one you would turn to when things got rough. You crawled over to it and leaned against the bed, examining the small sharp object in your hand. The tears had stopped so you just sat there, questioning whether this was the right thing to do or not. You barely had time to make a decision when there was a knock on the bedroom door. “(Y/N)? Are you in there love?” he asked softly. You didn’t reply. You heard the lock click, and mentally cursed yourself for forgetting about the spare key. “(Y/N)?” He walked in and his eyes widened when he saw you. “You didn’t…” he whispered. You shook your head and threw your head back, a new round of tears coming on. “What happened?” he asked, walking over to you and sitting next to you, taking the razor and tossing it aside before wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into his side. You went into the story of what happened with your friend and the whole time he sat there, listening. “Babe, it’s okay,” he replied once you finished speaking. “Hard times reveal true friends… If she really meant what she said, it’s not worth worrying over. If she comes back and apologizes… well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.” “Thank you Zayn,” you mumbled. “No problem boo, do you wanna do something to take your mind off things?” You nodded and he picked you up and lead you downstairs where he did anything he could to cheer you up.

Louis:

 Yeah,
I’ll bet their minds would change
They’d change if they knew the pain
Cause I believe in these scars
I believe

The two of you silently lay in bed, both with silent tears sliding down your cheeks. Louis had just discovered your little secret you had just finished telling him why. He picked up your arm and started kissing every mark individually. The kisses were so delicate, it was if butterfly wings were touching your arms. “You are not weak.” He kissed a scar. “You are strong.” Another. “These are not signs of weakness.” Another kiss. “These…” One last kiss to the last mark. “Are battle scars.” You moved your eyes so that they were looking back at his. “These do not make you any less beautiful love. These simply show how strong you are. And even though I wish I could have stopped you, you’re here with me now and no matter what people say to you, you will always have me to back you up. Because we’re a team, and we don’t leave each other alone. We support each other. And I’ll support you when you need it.” When his little speech was done, you were touched. “And I’ll support you Lou, always.” His lips parted into a small smile. “You are absolutely amazing (Y/N)… I love you so much,” he said, stretching his torso up so his lips could meet yours. He pulled back a little, but lingered just for a second. “I love you Lou.” “I love you.” He kissed you again, only a little more passion was put into it. “You’re my warrior.”
