Chapter 13

Adeline shot up in her bed and she screamed looling around with tears in her eyes and she started to cry as she had a bad dream again but this time it was about Bryce raping her. Coco jumped and looked at her and then she then walked over to her and she then started to lick her but Adeline pushed her a way with out thinking. Because she was scared Josh heard Adeline scream he then sat up fast and he got worried Lexi also woke up and she looked at him and she then said "Josh what's wrong?". He then said "Adeline screamed I'm going to check on her" he then got up from the bed and put a shirt on quickly and he then went out of the bed room. Maxie got out of the bed and she went out of the bed room and followed Josh in to Adeline's room he opened the door and Adeline is crying. He then went over to her bed and sat down next to her and he then said "hey Addy what's wrong?". Adeline looked at him and she then said "daddy.. I had another bad dream.. Bryce came and raped me I'm so scared daddy.. I'm scared what if he comes and does it?". Maxie looked in and heard and she felt bad a few tears filled her eyes because Adeline is a sweet little girl and she is know scared. Josh then said as he pulled her in to his arms "baby i promise that is never going to happen.. Not now and not ever.. Your safe Bryce is in jail right now and if he comes out of jail he is not allowed to be around you or he'll go back to jail for breaking a law.. I promise baby you are safe baby.. Shh.. I'm right here Addy.. I'm right here shh.. I'm right here no need to cry" Adeline held on to him tightly and Josh looked at Maxie and she looked at him he then got up with Adeline in his armd trying to calm her down. Adeline then said "daddy I'm so scared.. I don't know what to do" Josh then said to her "i know baby girl.. You need to calm down please". Adeline started to have trouble breathing she was starting to have one of her panic attacks.

She gets every now and then Josh then looked at Maxie and he said "Maxie can you please go get her inhaler it's in the cabinet next to the refrigerator". Maxie then said "okay" she then went to go get Adeline's inhaler as Josh sat down with her and tried to calm her down it was working only a little. He rubbed her back until Maxie came in with the inhaler and she gave it to Josh and he then said "Addy here". Adeline looked and she then took her inhaler and uses it and she got her breathing back to normal then she looked at Josh and she climbed back in to his lap and Josh held her. He then looked at the time and it was eight o'clock so Josh said "we have to get dressed and leave for the air port okay" Adeline then said "okay". Then she got off of his lap and went to get dressed as Josh and Maxie walked out of her bed room and went to there's to get dressed. After they where all done getting ready they got there suit cases and went out of the house and to Josh's car Josh put there suit cases in the car and all of them got in and Josh started the car. He pulled out of the drive way and headed to the air port once they got there they got out of the car and Josh got there suit cases. They walked in to the air port and spotted the guys quickly Adeline didn't notice that Ender was behind her he picked her up and put her over his shoulder she squealed and said while giggling "uncle Ender!" He laughed and said "got you". Both Maxie and Josh chuckled Adeline then said to Ender "uncle Ender please put me down" Ender then said "and what if i don't?" Adelibe thought and she giggled and said "i will kick you in the nut sack". He then put her down quickly and she giggled and Josh said "Adeline Rose!" She looked at him and shrugged her shoulders and said "i needed to scare him to put me down daddy". Josh chuckled and then he said "you are something else Addy" Adeline then said "I'm sorry uncle Ender for saying that". Ender smiled and said "is okay sweetie you just like playing around" Adeline smiled and said "true" then they went out side to load the private jet Adeline then asked "can i sit in between you and Maxie daddy?". He looked at her and said "yes of course sweetie" then first Josh got in and then Adeline and Maxie sat down Adeline looked at Josh and she said "can i watch a dog's purpose please? daddy". Josh smiled and said "yes of course so then he turned on the tv thay was on the back of another seat in front of her and he the found the movie qnd put it on he got the head phones.

Then she put them on and the movie started to play and she started to watch it as the jet took off Maxie looked over at Josh and she smiled and he looked at her and also smiled at her she then said "this is cool" Josh smiled and said "yes it is.. And it's also comfortable which is good for long jet rides". Maxie smilrd and said "true" she then heard "hey Josh do you, Adeline and.." Josh then said "that's my girlfriend Maxie" the women smiled and said "Maxie do you want anything to drink or eat?". Josh smiled and then said "yes please i would just like a water" Maxie smiled and said "i would also like a water please" Josh then looked at Adeline and he smiled and said "she would like the usual some milk and watermelon". She smiled and said "okay i will get them and i will be right back" she then left to go get there things they wanted Maxie put her head back and looked at the tv screen. That Adeline was watching A dog's purpose on and watched it with her even though she couldn't hear it she can't lie this jet ride is actually relaxing she really never liked to go on planes, Jets or anything that flys even though she has been on a few in her life tike between going to college in the university of georgia playing softball there. Also watching Bryce when she was dating him but she still has a fear of hightes which she is glad she won't sit near the window to look out of it. Soon there drinks and Adeline's watermelon arrived and a hour or so later Josh heard soft snoring so he looked over to his side and he smiled in awe at the cutsest thing ever. Maxie and Adeline are a sleep and Adeline has her head on Maxie's shouldrr and Maxie has her head placed gently on Adeline's a sleep. He is happy that he found a women like Maxie who cares about him and Adeline of course and the way how she has bonded with Adeline and Adeline bonded wirh her was worth the wait for almost five years before he would find any one tjat would not care if he had Adeline with him. While they were dating he then got a blanket and he gently put it over Maxie and Adeline and he kissed Maxie on her fore head and then he kissed Adeline on her temple sweetly and he sat back down. He turned off the tv on the back of the chair in front of Adeline and he then put the cover over the window so he could block the sun from getting in to Maxie's eyes and he leand back in his seat. He closed his eyes and soon he also fell a sleep on the jet then a few hours later he was woke up by the landing of the jet. He jumped and said "is every one alright?" He heard Adeline giggle and he looked at her and she said "your silly daddy it was your dream" Josh chuckled and then he said "yeah your right pumpkin". Then they all got up from there seats and un loaded the jet and went in to the air port to get there suit cases from the baggage claim and so they got theres and headed out of the air port. Once they did they saw the team bus and so they all went over to the bus and put therr stuff down.

So the people who help load the bus of the equipment and suit cases can put the bags under the bus Josh, Adeline and Maxie got on to the bus and Adeline asked Brian Snitker "may i sit with you?". He looked at her and he smiled and said "yes of course you can sweetie" she smiled and said "thank you sir" she then sat down next to him as Maxie and Josh went to sit behind them Maxie looked at Josh and she smiled and said. "Adeline really gets along with everyone on the team doesn't she?" Josh smiled and said "yes she does my family is so small so the Braves took us in and we are all family in this organization including you". She smiled and then she said "i am so greatful for that" he smiled and they headed to the hotel they will be staying at when they are in St. Louis. Soon they got to the hotel and they un loaded the bus got there atuff and checked in to the hotel Josh, Adeline and Maxie will share a room with Ender so they all went up to there room and droped off there suit cases. Adeline went over to Ender and said excitingly as she hoped on to his bed sitting down next to him "this is like a sleep over uncle Ender!" Ender looked at her and he chuckled and said "yes it is". Adeline then whispered in his ear "i want to sleep in your bed because my daddy and Maxie take up to much room" Ender chuckled and then he said "okay i won't have a problem with that". Josh smirked and then he said "don't think i didn't hear you Addy" Adeline looked at him and giggled and he chuckled and he said "it's fine with me also baby just don't be snoring in his ear". She giggled and Ender chuckled and then he said "are you hungry Adeline? Because i can take you down to the food court they have here so we can get dinner". Adeline smiled and said "yes please" then Josh said to Ender "just keep her in your site okay" Ender then said "i understand i will keep her close to me" Josh smiled and said "thanks" Ender Smiled and said "no problem bud" then Ender and Adeline left to go get some dinner. Josh then looked at Maxie and he said "are you hungry baby girl?" Maxie looked at him and then she said "no I'm not I'm just tired" Josh then said "oh okay lets get to bed then". Then they got undressed and got in to the bed and cuddled with each other and soon theu fell a sleep.
