XVIII ~ Buddy

Zeldris looked down. He wanted his brother to be with him. "Meliodas..." he mumbled. Meliodas turned and smiled sadly at him. Elizabeth had passed out in Escanor's arms and Merlin was still plenty angry.

"If I become the demon king everything can go back to normal," Meliodas defended. "And if me being no longer in this world is a problem, I'll only be in the demon realm. I'll still be available." Ban watched him, his opinion wasn't clear on his face but his next words made it clear.

"Cap'n if this is the way to make sure both you and the princess are safe then I'm fine with it," Ban told him. "But only if it's what you want." Meliodas grinned.

"It is. Thank you, Ban."

"I'll always have your back, buddy."

Meliodas looked over them all. "I can give you all entry to the demon realm. So the no presence in Britannia won't be a problem." He turned around to face his brothers. "We need to go now if we want to get this done before the curse takes effect." They nodded.

The brothers flew off to Camelot. The sins stood there motionless. Then King turned to Ban.

"Why the hell did you let him do that!?" Ban didn't react. "I told you his brothers are nothing but bad news!"

Ban glared harshly at him. "They only care for each other. This was the captain's choice. It's obvious!" King yelled in frustration.

"His choice!? I bet they brainwashed him or something!" Elaine moved away from her brother, slightly disgusted by his behavior. King looked shocked. "What you think they're okay too!?"

Merlin shook her head. "It was definitely Meliodas' choice." King frowned. Even Diane shook her head. King clenched his teeth and flew out of the tavern. He didn't want to believe that Meliodas would leave. He didn't trust those two. They killed so many. He was going to prove they were the enemies.
