Melissa's POV

The walk to NYU is challening as I batter agaisnt the cold chilled wind trying to get to campus which is cruel for the begining of November, I really need to invest in a new car as soon as I can. The grounds are diffrent due to my abstance and I know I have to work entra hard to get ahead of the program, the distractions that have happpened need to be left behind including Cameron.

I sit down in English Literature I have missed it so much mostly because of the famous novels that ocompany it, the lecture room is soon fill with many students coming in and the mindless chatter fills the room.

I take out my notebook and pen out whe everyone has fansy ipads which is to complicated for me, I like going for the simpliar thigs in life.

"Hello stranger" Jack startles me and sits next to me.

"I never knew you took this class" I say shocked looking around making sure I am in the right area.

"I picked it up recently I needed an extra class in english" he flashes me a perfect smile.

"Good morning class" the professors voice echos through the room, and everyone faces the front and stay quite as the lesson begins.

"We will speak later.." Jacks lips are ressed to my ear and the hairs on my skin rise.

Im distracted through the whole lesson as my stare is focused on Jack and his clenched jaw when he writes and the way his muscles contract when he writes, his eyes hold love and menaing which I havent seen before well at least not in Cameron.

I need to stop this fantasy now!

"Good lesson classes we will revise next lesson" Well that was a watse of a lesson, so much for a catch up lesson.

I pack my bag as everyone exits leaving Jack standing over me.

"What do you have next?" he asks me when I stand up straight.

"I have a free period" I reply as we make our way to the grass are outside, despite the cold the sun is shinning with the rays warming up my skin.

"I do as well, would you like to go grab a coffee?"

"I was actually go-"

"Come on Mel everytime we go on a date it always ends in a complication" he laughs.

Oh he considers our outings as a date. I need to defiently talk about that with him.

Of course my guilt gets the better of me. "Okay".

The walk is quick which makes no room for a conversation to arise. Were sitting on a booth near the window as Jack makes his way over with our orders.

"So how is your friend?" Jack asks as I take a long sip of the caffeine that already starts me up.

"She is alright"

"Do you know how she got involved in the accident?" He asks and I look up at him confusses.

"I never told you she was in an accident I told you there was something wrong with the baby" I frown tilting my head to get a good look at him.

"Well- I just guessed" he stutters .

"Melissa can I ask you something?" He changes the subject and I reluctantly nod.

"Would you like to go on a proper date with me like to a fancy dinner?" He asks nervously fiddling with his fingers as he looks down.

"Jack I don't think it's a good idea, I'm not really emotional stable to have a relationship at the moment" I laugh awkwardly.

"Oh I understand" he nods looking at me his brown orbs sink holes into mine.
