"How do you know who I am?" cried Avni who was tied up by the goons. "Oh sweetheart you forgot who I am. I am Adhiraj a lawyer for the underworld and I have my ways of finding of who you are?" He then went closely to her his breath fanning her and was looking intently in her eyes. "So don't even try to guess who I found out. I am a very dangerous person and you messed with the wrong person". Avni just glared at him and attempted to wriggle out of the tied ropes which she became successful. Once she came out of theT ropes, she attempted to punch Adhiraj but he stopped her. "Don't even bother trying unless you want your dear son Mowgli or your husband Neil in danger". Avni eyes widened. She went and grabbed his collar. "How do you know about Mowgli and Neil?". Adhiraj then glared at her and she left his collar. "I told you that I have my resources sweetheart." he chuckled while Avni just looked terrified.  "Now let's come to the main point. You probably realize that I'm a powerful person". "No kidding". "I like that. That feistiness is what made me fall in love with you. And what Adhiraj wants is given to him. I get what I want and right now I want..." he inched closer to her face while she looked at him in disgust. "IS YOU!!!'" he chuckled. "Shut up!! Until I'm alive, I belong to Neil spiritually, physically and mentally". "But he doesn't even know you are alive". "I know my Neil. Even if I'm not there, I know that he is still loves me. It's because of monsters like you, that I am staying away from my Neil" she cried. "Look sweetheart, I will give you two decisions. Either marry me or do my work. And if you don't do what I say, your dear Mowgli and your dear perfect family will be harmed.". Avni then started to tremble. "How do you know about my family?". "I'm from the underworld. I have connections everywhere. I know that you are married to Neil Khanna and that you left him so the criminal Vidyut Pandit will get punished".  What Avni didn't know of the time was that Adhiraj was the cousin of DD so that's how he knew everything about her. "Please don't do this. Please don't harm Neil or Mowgli. They are both pieces of my heart. I will die if something happens to me" she cried, pleading and begging. "I will give you two days to decide or else" he warned, leaving Avni there. Avni dropped on her knees, crying her heart out. She felt that someone snatched her heart out as she felt lifeless. She didn't want anything happen to her son or her husband as she loves her husband immensely and Mowgli is a symbol of their love. She cried her heart out as she couldn't decide what to do. She stayed there for sometime crying her heart out and letting her all her tears of agony fall. She couldn't believe what has happening. She was mad at God for putting her  in this situation and was mad at herself as she believed that she was a sin. She then decided to leave depressed as she had to take care of the kids. There at the orphanage, the Cafe lady saw her extremely sad and saw Adhiraj smirking at her. "Kuch to hai" she thought as she noticed Adhiraj looking at Avni lustfully. That day, Avni couldn't sleep at all. She was restless as she kept thinking what to do. She knew that she couldn't marry Adhiraj as her heart belonged to Neil and only him but she couldn't stand the thought of someone harming her family. The next day she decided to take the kids to the park. There Mowgli was running around with a ball and the ball fell on the street. Mowgli went to the street grabbing the ball, unaware of the car coming at her. "MOWGLI!" Avni screamed. Samrat then ran across the street and pulled him and Mowgli away from the car, rolling on the street. "Samrat! Mowgli! Are you okay" cried Avni tearfully as she hugged Mowgli tightly and scanning their bodies for any injuries. Mowgli had no injuries while Samrat had a cut just on his elbow. "Jaan didi we are fine but that driver isn't. I can't believe that driver couldn't stop his car". "Samrat thank you so much! You saved Mowgli!". "Mowgli is like my little brother and you said that we should always save our family and people". Avni smiled as Neil was also like that. She wanted to raise the kids with the values that Neil taught her.  A call broke her reverie. "I told you darling, that if you don't make a decision, I will harm your son and this an example of this. Take this as a warning of what I can do" he then hung up the call while Avni dropped the call. She couldn't believe that he could go this extent. She then decided to stay strong for the kids and didn't want them to feel what she was feeling. She was lost in her thoughts while the cafe lady noticed it. "Neelajaana. Are you ok? You seem lost". "Nothing, I'm just thinking about how I will handle the next month you know?". The lady nodded unconvinced.  The next day, Avni approached Adhiraj. "Look I am willing to do your work. Tell me what has to be done". Adhiraj became shocked as he never knew that Avni would do his work over marrying him. "Are you sure? WOuldn't it be easier to marry me?" he asked smirking. "If you did your research that you would know that I am Ananya Verma alias Case 123, so I have done illegal work. I am not afraid to do it again. Infant for my family, I will do anything even if it means this". Adhiraj smiled and told Avni what to do. He made her traffic drugs to people of the underworld who would look at her lustfully and as much as Avni hated it, she knew she had to do it for her family. He made her dance infront of those lustful eyes. He made her give money illegally to people of the underworld. He made her steal items that he wanted revenge from her. This continued on for about three weeks. Each day was torture for Avni as she hated those lustful eyes and kept on thinking of Neil. How she wanted his presence, his warmth. Then one day, it became worse for her. Adhiraj came into her room drunk when the kids were at school. There was only Mowgli who was sleeping in the other room. "What are you doing here?" shed asked furiously. "Haven't you tortured me enough". "I want you" he smirked, being drunk. "What the hell are you saying huh? I have done everything you asked me for but not this". "Eh I get what I want" and with that he smashed the bottle on the wall. "You can never have me!" she exclaimed. Adhiraj then grabbed her arms and pinned her to the wall. "Look at this picture". Avni eyes widened at the picture. There was Mowgli sleeping peacefully with a knife around his neck. "Now you don't want Mowgli to be harmed do you?". Avni shook her head vigorously. "Then become mine". He then traced her body with his hands and took her shirt off. Avni breath trembled. She closed her eyes as his dirty hands travelled her body until she remembered something that Neil told her. "You will always be my lady don. Don't forget that". Avni then gained courage and kicked Adhiraj in the balls. She wore her shirt started beating him up, punching him senseless. She then gave him one final blow until the police came with the cafe lady. The police grabbed him and arrested him. "How are you Neelajaana? Are you ok" asked the Cafe Lady worriedly. "I am fine but how did you get here?". "I heard some noise and rushed here. I saw the goons with Mowgli and that's when I came here". "Thank you so much!". "No problem beta but you should've told someone". "I was helpless". "Even to talk to me?" asked another voice. "SUneheri!". "Neelajaana! Kya hai yeh sab? Why didn't you tell me Adhiraj is your renter?". "I'm sorry". "I know this guy. He is a monster" Suneheri then explained what happened to her and her connection with him. Avni cried while Suneheri  consoled her. From that day they took care of the orphanage and two years later Sitara and Tara joined them".

"So this was my past" said Avni to Neil who stood motionless. DIdn't say a word at all. She started to get scared and was about to leave when he held her hand.
