The door Percy ran out of led to a dark hallway, and up ahead he could hear the sounds of scuffling and painful grunts coming from the two demigod kids and Thorn. Quickening his pace, the young wizard uncapped Riptide, the pen gripped in his right hand growing until he was holding a three-foot long bronze sword, its glow the only source of lighting in the dim corridor.

At top speed and nearing the trio, Percy slowed his pace as the sounds of struggling grew quiet, suspicion and caution making him wary of what lay ahead. When he got to the end of the hall there was no one to be seen, only a single door between him and wherever his "targets" were. Taking a few steps forward, the boy reached out a hand to push open the door when a panicked thought came to mind-

What if it was some sort of trap?

How could it not be? Thorn probably had the demigods inside and was waiting for either Percy or his quest mates to storm in and try to get them out. He's probably waiting out here somewhere, thought the sea green eyed boy, slowly looking around to see if he could spot the man (monster). He was glad that he had taken the precaution of using his pendant to cloak himself and was almost insulted that the "Doctor" seem to think that it would be this easy to bait him. I've seen first-year Slytherins craftier than this, he thought with a grimace.

But still, he needed to somehow get inside that room to make sure the kids were alright, how could he do that if it was a trap?

Eyes widening as an idea came to mind, Percy was annoyed that he hadn't thought of using his own version of apparition- a sort of teleportation method using the water particles in the air to transport himself to a different location. It was something he came up with by combining his demigod powers with his magical abilities, apparition in itself was difficult and dangerous when you were a young still developing wizard, so by using his control over water (something that came naturally to him considering his heritage) as a sort of medium to help along with the process it was highly effective and accurate when he finally got it down.

Closing his eyes the dark haired boy focused, if he did this wrong then who knows what would happen, perhaps he might accidentally miscalculate the distance and reappear inside a wall? Or worse, lose a body part? Feeling a pull in his stomach, Percy focused on that feeling and the room beyond, his body suddenly feeling light and the floor falling away. You can do this.

Feeling the jarring sensation of something solid suddenly beneath his feet and his body being once again physical, Percy opened his eyes and breathed in a sigh of relief to see that he had succeeded and that the kids, who were standing near the back with their eyes wide with fear, were alright and relatively unharmed. Thinking about his next course of action the boy reluctantly stepped forward, light on his feet and making not a single sound, and crouched down in front of the two younger demigods.

"Hey," Percy whispered lowly and as the two flinched harshly, he winced and berated himself for a lack of a better approach.

"Don't freak out!" He had resorted to whisper-yelling. "I'm here to help, you can't see me right now because I'm disguising myself so that your professor won't see me. I know this is strange but... just whatever you do stay calm and know that my friends and I will find a way to get you guys somewhere safe." At his reassuring tone the older sibling, the sister, hesitantly placed a comforting hand on her brother's shoulder.

"I-it's going to be fine Nico... Just... do whatever the voice says." The girl tried to mask the fear in her voice, always trying to be the brave one for her brother no matter how fucking strange a situation got. Percy respected that.

"Okay... if you say so Bianca." Nico murmured, scared eyes searching around him for the unseen voice.

A loud slam of the door was heard and Percy hurriedly got himself out of the way of a raging Doctor Thorn.
