Chapter 17

"Good morning, Jayden." I said as I entered the dining room with Zack.
"Good morning."He replied.
"Good morning, daddy!!" Zack said.
"Good morning, champ! Come here!" He said stretching his arms. I gave Zack to him and sat down in my chair. The sitting arrangement has been back to normal with Zack between us as usual.

It's been a few days since that roller coaster day. The day on which so many things happened, Zack's order of being friends and meeting Charles and Deven.

Jayden has been acting weird since then. I mean, it may seem normal for any other person but since it's Jayden it seems strange. He hasn't been giving me glares or frowning at me. We still don't talk except for about Zack but he doesn't ignore me either which is really strange. I can't put it into words. When I started working here, he used to lock himself up in his study if Zack wanted to play with me and if he played with Zack then he used to ignore me like I don't exist but now, he sits in the same room as Zack no matter if I am there or not. He spends his time after office with Zack which is a good thing. If he has anything he wants me to do for Zack then he tells me directly instead of being rude to me like he used to. I don't know what happened that he changed so much so suddenly but I think it's a good change. It's so easy to talk to him now. Before when I had anything to say to him, I knew that he will be rude or frown but now he listens to me quite attentively and answers without showing that hate expression. I don't know what made him change so suddenly but he is more approachable now.

As for my best friend Charles, there has been no news about his going out with Deven. I don't know what Deven is doing! I told him how they have feelings for each other and that he should take a step forward if he wants to upgrade their relationship. I think, confessing one's feelings is really important and big thing so he might be taking his time. I don't want to force anything on them and want to look over them from the side but I am such an impatient person! And I am so curious to see Charles's blushing face when he tells me about it. His expressions are the best!!

"Mommy!!" Zack said bringing me out of my train of thoughts.
I looked at him.
He stretched his arms and I took him from Jayden.
"My baby!!" I said kissing Zack on his cheeks. He looks more and more adorable with each passing day.
Sally came inside with the food and started arranging them on the table.
I placed Zack in his chair and got up to help Sally.
"Thanks." She said and smiled.
I sat down in my seat and looked at Zack.
"Let's eat!" I said to him and took the spoon in my hand.

Ring...ring...
Jayden's phone rang as we were eating our breakfast.
He picked it up.
"Hello."
"Yes, Jonathan!"
"Party?"
"No, I can't come."
"Happy birthday!"
"I can only wish you on phone."
"Stop acting like a kid, I told you..."
"No, don't come!"
"Ok! Fine! But, just for a few minutes!"
"Ok. See you in the evening."
He hangs up the call and sighed.
"Everything's ok?" Sally asked him.
"Yes, it's just that Jonathan! It's his birthday and he is throwing a party. I told him that I can't come but he just won't listen. He said that if I don't go then he will shift his party venue here. He is just too stubborn! I will have to go and show my face there." He said and sighed again.
"Daddy, party?" Zack asked him.
"Yes, Zack. Daddy is going to a party. But, I can't take you. It's for grown-ups." He answered.
"Grown-ups?" Zack asked confused.
"Mommies and daddies." He said after thinking for a second.
"Mommy, daddy, party!!" Zack said and looked at me.
"No no. She is not going." He said and looked at me.
"Mommy, party!! Zack home wait!!" Zack said.
"Zack..." I said to get his attention. I will have to talk Zack out of this otherwise it will trouble Jayden.
"Mommy, party." Zack said and looked at me with sad eyes.
Jayden sighed.
"Zack, I..." I was saying when Jayden interrupted me,"Ok. Fine."
I looked at Jayden, shocked.
"Julia, you will be coming with me to the party." He said and I just nodded my head still shocked.
"Yay!!!" Zack said clapping his hands.
"Sally, I will call "The Dreamers" and ask them to arrange a dress for Julia. Attend them when they come home." He said to Sally.
'The Dreamers'!!!!!! Omg!!! They are such a famous group!!! Charles is a big fan of them and wants to become famous just like them. Charles used to go on and on about them. That's the reason I know who they are. They have a designer, hair stylist, make-up artist, nail stylist and a look assignee!! He is calling them to me?!!!! I have to decline!!! I can't let him waste so much money on me!!
"Ja..." I was about to say when he looked at me.
"Julia, take good care of Zack when they come. All of them adores Zack a lot and tends to go overboard with showing their love. Keep them at a distance from Zack, please. And see to it that they do not squeeze my son when they hug him and not make his cheeks red when they kiss him. Tell them off strictly, ok?" He said worriedly.
"Don't worry, I will take care of Zack." I replied a little confused and shocked.
They sure are dangerous!!
"You can ask them for any design you want and any number of alteration. They will arrange the dress before time and will also see to getting you ready." He said getting up from his chair.
He took Zack in his arms.
"Zack, be a good boy when they come, ok? And tell them to stay away from you." He said to Zack with really serious expression.
Zack nodded his head and smiled. Jayden hugged him.
Jayden sure is afraid of them. I will have to be careful of them too.
I got up from my chair.
"Jayden, don't worry. I will take care of Zack." I said. I don't know what I will do but I will do my best!
Jayden nodded his head and looked at Zack.
"I don't want to go to the office leaving Zack here but I have a really important meeting." He said feeling down.
"Jayden, trust me. I will keep them away from Zack." I said.
"I will be trusting on you." He said giving Zack into my arms.
Jayden said that he is trusting me!!!! Now, I will do my best!!!!
"Say, bye to daddy." I said to Zack as Jayden walked towards his car.
"Bye, daddy!!!" Zack said waving his hand.
"Bye!! Take care!!" Jayden said sitting inside.
The car drove off.
What is the deal with them? I will have to ask Sally about it so that I know what I will be dealing with.

Zack is playing and I am sitting there waiting for Sally to show up.
I can't wait anymore! I have to talk to her before they arrive.
"Zack!" I said and he looked at me.
"What do you want to eat for snacks in the evening?" I asked him.
"Cookies!!!" He said.
I laughed. He really loves cookies.
"Let's go and tell Sally to make cookies." I said.
"Yes!!" He said and came running towards me.
I took him in my arms and walked out of the room.
We went into the kitchen. I looked around.
Is Sally not here?
She is usually in the kitchen. Maybe she is assigning jobs to the maids.
Let's check in the living room first.
I walked towards the living room.
"Sally!" I said as soon as I saw her.
"Julia." She said.
"I was looking for you." I said and went towards her.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Cookies!!" Zack said.
I totally forgot about it!
"Zack wants cookies for snacks today." I said and she nodded.
"Zack will have cookies today!!" Sally said and Zack smiled brightly.
"I wanted to ask you something." I said and she looked at me.
"Why was Jayden so worried about "The Dreamers"?" I asked her.
"I was going to come to you and talk about this matter. Actually..." She was saying when we heard some noise.
"They are here." Sally said little worried.
"Zack!!!! We are here!!!!" Came a chorus voice.
I looked in the front, heart beating fast. What am I going to deal with???!!!!!
