And true to my word in the five months that followed the wedding I trained Harald. He had the basic training that Torvi had begun to teach him. But he was far behind in what he needed to know.
"Jon please go a bit easier." I pleaded with my dark haired cousin as he stared down at Harald.
"There's no need Visenya. In battle no one will go easy on me." Harald argued as he stood up.
I sat up on the wooden split railed fence and watched as they once again began their fight. I turned around when I heard the pounding of paws on the stone bounding off towards the gate that led to the wolfswood.
The gate quickly opened as the wolves slipped through not waiting for it to be fully open. Eager to go hunting.
I turned back towards the fight to see once again that Harald had been disarmed. Daemon came up behind me as he jumped over to sit on the same rail as me.
"How's the training going?" He asked as I sighed.
"Better. Better than yesterday. Which is better than last week." I said as he gave a small nod.
"Why aren't you training him?" He asked as I shrugged.
"It's good practice for Jon." I said as I watched him show Harald a move step by step.
"You're looking a bit pallid. Are you alright?" He asked as he turned a bit towards me as he put the back of his hand to my forehead to feel my temperature
"I'm fine Daemon." I said moving away from his hand.
"I'm your brother." He began as I rolled my eyes.
"I know."
"If anything is wrong you should tell us. We'll help." He said in a soft voice as I looked ahead towards the two boys who fought.
After a few moments I looked over to him with tears in my eyes as he was alarmed
"What's wrong?" He asked as I sighed.
"I'm with child." I whispered as he smiled widely and hugged me.
"Oh sister, congratulations!" He expressed as I bursted into tears.
"But why are you crying? Aren't you happy?" He asked as wiped the tears away from my face.
"I'm scared. What if I lose the child?" I asked as he rubbed my upper arms.
"If you live your life in fear then you will never live." He said as he put his arm around my shoulder as we turned to see Jon and Harald laughing as Jon had a big blob of mud sliding off his face.
"What does Robb say?" He asked as I shrugged
"I wouldn't know. I haven't told him." I said as he tsked
"Does anyone know?"
"Just you, Jon, Maester Luwin, and Sir Arthur." I said as he gave me a glance
"Why does Sir Arthur know and not your husband?" He questioned
"He was there when I fell ill. He took me to maester Luwin." I replied as he asked how far along I was.
"Five moons." I said as Daemon gave a small laugh.
"You don't waste any time, do you?" He asked as he gave my head a small kiss.
"Go tell Robb sister. He deserves to know. You can't hide it forever." He said as I scoffed
"I can try!" I said as he patted my back.
"Go on now. He should be in the stables. We're supposed to be going hunting." Daemon said as he jumped down from the fence as I followed his lead.
We entered the large stables that seemed to go on for miles as we found Robb saddling his horse. As my brothers Aragorn and Aegon waited for him atop their own horses.
"Please Robb any day now. Before our wolves kill all the game." Aegon complained as he leaned on his forearms resting them on the saddles horn.
"We should do this some other time." I whispered to Daemon as he shook his head. His silver hair moving along like waves.
"Come on boys, let's head to the armory first, I didn't get enough arrows." Daemon said as he mounted his horse that was already saddled
"You can have some of my arrows. I've brought plenty to spare." Aegon offered as he reached down to grab a quiver full of arrows.
"Let's still get more. Better safe than sorry I always say." He said as he galloped out of the stables with the other two giving a each other a confused look but following their younger brother.
"Well hello there my love." Robb said greeting me with a swift kiss before he went back to tightening his saddle.
"How long will you be gone?" I asked as he strapped his bow and arrows to the side of the saddle securing them tightly.
"Before supper. We're brining the meats for supper." He said as I nodded
"Will you have enough time? To hunt I mean." I asked as he nodded
"Of course. Aragorn knows where to find them." He assured as I nodded. I wringed my hands as I looked behind me. Horses ate and drank their water at peace.
"Well I just wanted to tell you that I'm with child before you leave." I said quickly as he looked at me with scrunched eyebrows.
"Come again?" He asked not catching what I had said.
"I'm with child." I said again simply looking at him. His face turned from one of confusion to one of pure delight.
"Really? Are you sure?" He asked as I nodded
"I'm sure." I said as he closed the small gap between up and kissed me.
"You're with child." He said breaking the kiss but peppered my face with kisses
"Yes so make sure you bring good deer. I've been wanting venison for some time now." I said as he looked at me as if I had put the moon up in the sky.
"Whatever you want, it's yours." He said kissing me one more time before he stepped away and mounted his horse. I took a step back to look up at him.
He had a large smile gracing his face.
"Rest my love, leave Jon to train Harald." He told me as his horse became impatient wanting to join its brethren.
"Come back soon. I feel better when you're around." I admitted as he gave a nod before bounding off.
