My eyes adjusted to the brightness of the sun as it was still setting, but it tended to be rather bright considering it was the ending of summer.
I squinted my eyes and saw my phone had stopped playing the music, however I could hear the song still being sang.
With a little hesitation I looked behind me and noticed another group of boys, a little larger than the ones at the rocks, messing around in the sand. What got me confused was the fact the looked really familiar and around 5 of them were singing the song we all know and love from idol producer.
Maybe they were fans?
But no. I could finally see their faces as the gleam from the sun was no longer covering them.
The first person I locked eyes with was none other than Cai Xukun."Holy shit." I mumbled under my breath and quickly turned away from the group of boys.
What are you supposed to do when you're surrounded by your favourite people and made eye contact with probably the most attractive person on the planet? No wait, why are they even here? Aren't they supposed to be in China?
Before I could even try and make sense of what was going on, my thoughts were interrupted.
"Hi!" One of the boys boldly sat down next to me and greeted me in English.I mentally screamed when I noticed it was everyone favourite smol baby, Qian Zhenghao, who by the was is actually taller than I thought he'd be.
"Oh, h-hi," I managed to get out without sounding like an idiot.
"I'm Zhenghao." He held out his hand for me to shake. Mentally laughing at how adorable he was, I shook the older boy's hand and smiled at him.
"I'm Rosè." I responded in Chinese, causing a smile to play on his lips.
"You speak Chinese?" He responded.
"Yeah, I'm fluent since my moms half Chinese and always made it a point to teach us."
"Really? Well that's-"
"Zhenghao! Stop flirting with everyone!" Another one of the guys yelled out in Chinese, maybe thinking I couldn't understand them. All the other boys laughed and Zhenghao automatically turned bright red.
"He just said hi, it's okay." I yelled out in Chinese, in a joking tone.
"Oh she can understand us? well hi!" He yelled back.
Bu Fan the comedian. My phone viabrated with a text message. I unlocked my phone and sure enough, my mom had messaged me to head home since she had something to discuss with me.
"It was nice to meet you, but I have to head home." I smiled warmly at Zhenghao.
He nodded and stood up, brushing the sand off his pants. "Maybe I'll see you around?"
"Of course, this city is pretty small and I'm usually around here."
I breathed in a sigh of relief, I guess nobody noticed my idol producer sweater.
He laughed and we said our goodbyes. Of course now I just had to walk past the group of boys without fainting.
I gathered up my courage and walked past them a little quickly, but not before locking eyes with the now platinum blonde haired, Cai Xukun. It was only for a split second but I could feel myself melting from his chocolate gaze.
You could say I walked home pretty fast after that.
~
"For how long?" I blinked.
"Just a week. You're father and I will be back on Tuesday. I wish we could take you but she's already bought us tickets and-"
"Mom it's okay," I laughed. "Don't worry I'll be fine. Besides it's aunt Min's wedding and to get me a ticket to China would be crazy expensive. Go. Have fun!"
"Are you sure?" She asked nervously.
"Mom, I'm nearly 16. I'm sure I can handle one week by myself."
She nodded. "I just can't believe she decided to get married to quickly!" She threw her arms in the air.
"It is pretty quickly to be fair. But that's how aunt Min is anyway, she's always lived life fast." I reasoned.
My mom and I were pretty close and she tended to rant to me a lot. Usually about my aunt Min who is the epitome of the cool aunt. Although, since she moved back to China two years ago I barely see her anymore.
"Anyway, we leave tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" I narrowed my eyes, looking rather shocked.
"Well I told you, she does things fast."
"Of course." I shrugged.
I let my mom rant a little longer before I started to get tired and eventually excused myself to go to my room. I washed up and changed into looser clothing before walking over to my window and taking a look outside.
The street was silent and dark, with just a few street lights lining the length of the road so you could see. The house I saw people moving into was pitch black. I was a little curious to see who was occupying the house in all honesty.
I'll just find out tomorrow.
