3rd POV

Levi's husband lost his hearing few years ago in the accident. He was working on heights and one day he fell on the ground. Their lives changed since that day. Levi was the one who worked now, and Y/n stayed at home. Levi was scared something might happen to Y/n if he left the house alone, so they always went for a walk after he came back from work.

Levi went in to the house and waited for Y/n to notice him. He didn't want to scare him.

-Hey. – showed Levi in the sign language. Y/n did the same back and hugged his husband. Life in their house was quiet. What was the point of talking, if Y/n couldn't hear Levi's voice.

-I miss the sound of your voice. – showed Y/n.

-I know. – responded Levi and nuzzled Y/n's neck. They stayed like that for a while, then Y/n served the dinner.

Time skip

Levi was sparing money for something Y/n didn't know about. He wanted to buy the implant that could fix Y/n's hearing. The only problem was that it was extremely expensive and Y/n needed two of these. Levi was taking extra hours at work to earn more money.

Y/n got suspicious. He was aware of the fact that Levi had harder life because of his disability. Y/n was feeling insecure whenever someone healthy was flirting with Levi. Y/n felt worse than them and he was getting scared Levi would leave him for someone else. Y/n noticed Levi was working longer, coming home late. They didn't even had sex anymore, cause Levi would say he was tired and go straight to bed. Y/n felt neglected and the thought of Levi being with someone else was hurting him beyond any scale. He cried himself to sleep almost every night.

Time skip

The day of Y/n's and Levi's anniversary was getting closer. Levi was so excited he was grinning like crazy for the whole week. Y/n on the other hand was feeling down. The sight of Levi in the good mood out of reason unknown to Y/n was the worst thing to him. Of course he got a present for Levi, but he didn't share his husband's good mood. In fact he felt the depression knocking at his door.

On the day of the anniversary Levi took a day off and told Y/n to rest. Levi cooked the dinner, cleaned the house and told Hanji, Y/n's doctor to come and turn the present on. He was exhausted, but he knew it would be worth it.

-Dinner's ready. – showed Levi in sign language.

Y/n nodded in response and wore a dress shirt. He brought the present to the dining room and they both sat down to eat. After the meal Y/n gave Levi his present. Levi smiled at the new book of his favorite author. Suddenly he heard the doorbell ring.

-Hanji's here. – he showed to Y/n in the sign language.

-What for? – asked Y/n.

-Surprise. – was all with Levi responded and let Hanji in. They talked about something for few seconds, then they walked to the dining room. Y/n noticed she had her bag in her hand.

-Hey Y/n. – she showed.

-Hey. – responded Y/n still confused why she was there.

Levi smiled and handed him a box in fancy wrapper. Y/n opened the box and saw two devices. He had no idea what it was until Hanji opened her tool bag and took the box from Y/n.

-Don't worry. – showed Levi. – Trust me.

Hanji made two quick injections on either sides of Y/n's head. Then she did another two injections behind his ears. Y/n didn't ask, he trusted his friend and husband. When Hanji was done she took a little thing that looked like a pilot.

-Are you ready? – asked Hanji with signs.

Y/n nodded slowly and she pushed the green button on the pilot. Y/n's eyes widened. He heard a screech in his ears, then it went away.

-I hope it works. – said Levi. – I was working my ass off for this shit.

-I hear you. – said Y/n in disbelief. Levi grinned wider and they hugged each other. Hanji wiped the tears of happiness from her eyes and hugged Y/n too. Then she explain what Y/n should do in case of low batteries in the implants and how to charge them with a special band.

-The awesome thing about these is that you don't have to turn them off. – she said. – Whenever you feel your hearing gets worse just put the band on your head. In case of any other trouble you can always come to me. – she smiled and hugged Y/n once again. – And happy anniversary you two.

After Hanji left Y/n and Levi cleaned the dishes and first time in years were able to watch a movie without subtitles for Y/n.

-Is that why you were working longer? – asked Y/n.

-Yes. What did you though I was doing?

-Now it sounds stupid, but I thought you found someone healthy and you were cheating on me.

Levi hugged his husband tight.

-Honey, you are healthy. – he said. – I love you and I would do anything to make you happy. And when you're happy, I'm happy.

-I love you too Levi. – said Y/n and pecked Levi's lips.

Time skip

Y/n's life went back to normal. He found a safer job in the office. They both earned money now, so Levi didn't have to work his ass off anymore, and they could spend more time together. Their love grew stronger with every passing day. Y/n wasn't insecure anymore and he smile came back on his face. Seeing that, Levi couldn't stop himself from smiling too. Finally they could forget about the bad times. They survived them together. And they were stronger than anytime before.
