Camilas pov
"Well, don't work too hard." Leo said to Hayley and I as we lounged on the beach"I'm waiting for the real classes to start." Hayley said
"Well I wouldn't want to do something wrong" I snarked looking at Jackie.
"Sorry, okay?" Jackie said
"Fine" I groaned moving to help.
"I'm not doing this for the Ravens. I'm doing this for Alex." Hayley groaned helping us as well
"Whatever works for you." Leo said
"What are you up to now?" Leo asked as Hayley looked at her louie
"Something is off. Look. It's a trick question. 'The key is in the soil, but not inside the box.' What does a box have to do with anything? And why is it not in the box?"
"Maybe it's outside the box. Like, Think outside the box. " I suggested.
"Come on. I think I solved it." Hayley said, Leo and I following her as she went to back school.
"So the riddle said, 'Ten from the sea.' But I don't think he meant the ocean." Hayley explained looking at the paintings on the wall.
"Nice move, Woods." Leo said.
"Told you it was too easy" I pointed out.
"Okay. Um One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. You wanna do the honors?" Leo asked picking up the small rake from inside a small zen garden type box.
"Honors of what? I knew you'd find it." Alex sighed the last part but had a proud smile on his face.
"Here, take it. Take it. The stupid Eagles will worship you if you come back with it." Hayley stated trying to hand alex the key
"I don't need your handouts." Alex grumbled moving away from us as I followed.
"You know she just trying to help" I said walking past him to Louis' office.
"We found the key" I told Louis.
"Very good, I'll alert everyone. Lets go to the common room. " Louis said typing the text as we made out way to the common room.
"Who found it?" Louis asked.
"Hayley. Leo and I were with her but she did all the hard work"
"Appears she might fit in here more than she once thought"
"I knew she would"
"Your faith in people's abilities even when they don't have faith themselves is very inspiring Miss Stevens"
"A wise leader always thinks outside of the box. And the Ravens understood that. So they went to the painting on the wall instead of looking in the most obvious place." Louis said making his way to the front of the room where everyone had gathered. The ravens cheered as he handed hayley the gong.
"Me?" She asked
"You earned it" Hayley struck the gong and the Ravens cheered some more
"I now pronounce the Ravens winners of the opening challenge."
"Ravens! Ravens!" I beagn to chant as the other Ravens joined in, I smirked at Daniel, even though we're friends we do love a good competition.
"First challenge down! Whoo-hoo! All right!" We cheered as we walked towards our party.
"Free food! Yes! We did it. Uh, who wants a cupcake?" Someone shouted as we entered the room.
"All right, we got, uh, pizza over here. Who wants a pretzel?" I said handing out food.
"Eagles didn't stand a chance, guys. They have no pizza party. We're the ones with the pizza party." Leo stated as we all sat down with our food.
"Oh, man, if I could see the look on Daniel's face right now." I grinned looking at Leo
"Probably crying. Oh, yeah, they're probably sitting in their clubhouse, just crying." Jackie stated.
"I hope so." Hayley said.
Daniel's pov
"That pizza smelled so good" Brooke said."It's all my fault." I said
"Hey you're not the reason we lost. Look at this." Sophie said showing us a video of Alex and Hayley.
"You let her win?" I asked disappointed
"Alex is more loyal to his sister than the Eagles. " Brooke scoffed
"She's the one who found the key. She tried giving it to me."
"Why would she do that?"
"Cause that's how she is. She cares more about me than the stupid competition."
"So you admit you could've taken the key?" I asked
"Yeah. But that would be cheating. That's not honorable."
"Honor? There's nothing honorable about betraying your team."
Camila's pov
"Oh, my God. Who spilled on my backpack? Who ruined my notebook? I will kill whoever did this!" Jackie yelled looking at her now ruined book."Well I guess this party's over" I mumbled to Hayley
"He hasn't texted you back. Maybe you need to give your brother some space. He has to learn to take care of his problems on his own." Leo said to Hayley
"You right?" I asked her
"Yeah I'm good" Hayley said walking off.
"Okay than" I mumbled to myself. I turned to make sure nobody was watching and I started to stuff my bag with pizza boxes.
"EAGLES!" I shouted entering their clubhouse.
"How'd you get in here?" Daniel asked curiously smiling at me.
"He did it" Brooke exclaimed happily, clapping.
"Yep"
"What's going on?" Sophie asked
"Daddy made it so her louie could unlock our Clubhouse as well as the Ravens. I mean she's basically one of us anyway. She a hybrid, a little bit of Raven, A little bit of Eagle" Brooke smiled
"Are you kidding? Lets not forget the time she hit me in the back of the head with a basketball she tripped on. I mean, how do you even do that?" Parker teased.
"I brought Pizza" I said opening my bag.
"Hell yeah shes a Hybrid" Parker yelled rushing over to my bag causing the others to chuckle and rush over for pizza, except Alex. I grabbed a box and brought it over to him.
"Pizza?" I offered sitting beside him. He gave me a small smile before shaking his head no.
"Do you want me to talk to them for you?" I asked
"No, it's okay, I'll figure it out" Alex whispered resting his head on my shoulder as all the others paid us no mind being to invested in the pizza.
