18 - Caden

I held Grace in my arms as we cuddled in bed, her rigid form pressed flushed against mine as she breathes in my scent. I could feel her anger slowly reciding as she moves closer, a sigh escaping her lips.

"I want her locked up until I know who her pups father really is so that he can raise it." She whispers into my chest. I didn't know who she was talking about so I pulled away slightly and tilted her head so her eyes looked into mine and asked.

"Audry is pregnant and assumes it's your pup. I know different though. I know some unfortunate love struck pup did what only mate's should do and is now regretting it." She mumers before turning her head back into my chest. I couldn't believe how low that shewolf had stooped.

I knew Grace wouldn't kick her out until she knew who the father was. That way the pup would be safe and Audry would be gone.

"Are you even sure she's pregnant?" I asked, my hands running through her hair gently.

"No maybe we should ask Maddie. Tell her to be at Audry's room." She springs up from her spot, a smirk on her face as she rushes out the door, me hot on her trail as a chuckle escapes my lips.

[Maddie?] I open the link to my pack member, waiting for her reply.

[Yes Caden?] Her voice was clear and I couldn't wait to get this mattered settled.

[Meet me and Grace at Audry's room and bring the pregnancy tests and equipment and as many assistants you'll need.] I inform her, a yes Alpha following as a response from her.

I managed to catch up to Grace, my arm snaking around her waist as I pull her to my side. We knew that Audry's games were tiring and at its end of we can catch her in her lie. Then tomorrow as Queen, Grace would deal with this shewolf as she sees fit.

The walk down the stairs were quiet as the regular pack members without houses of their own were placed between the second and fourth floor. Audry had taken a room on the second floor when she decided to move out of her parent's house. And that's where we were headed.

"Alpha, Lady Silver." A guard greets us as we near the room, the sounds of wolves coming from the ground floor greeting us and soon Maddie and a few warriors and assistants appear.

"So is this about what happened earlier?" Maddie asks and I nodd, Grace going rigid as she glares at the door.

"Okay and Grace did you manage to calm down? You're already stressed enough." Maddie's statement caught my attention and I couldn't help but pull my mate closer to me, pressing a kiss to her temple.

"Caden helped me but I won't be calmed fully till this mutt is dealt with." Grace answers and a sigh escapes the doctor.

"Okay then. Let's finish this so you can calm down and we can all get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a busy day for you." With a smile the doctor motions for the door to be opened and I allow Maddie to enter, a smile plastered on her lips.

"Oh thank god it's you Maddie. I need you to talk to Caden. His whore has me locked in here for no reason." Her nails on a chalkboard voice hits me and I stop, a growl wanting to free itself from my being. How dare she call Grace a whore.

[Caden, pretend to be happy about what's going on. Ask her to do a test she'll listen to you.] Her voice was strained and I knew Grace hated asking me this but it was the best idea we had.

[Okay stay here then.] I pull my mate in for a deep kiss, my teeth nipping the delicate skin of her bottom lip before I pull away and enter the room with the rest of the warriors and assistants.

"Audry." My voice was calm and demanding, her head whipping to stare at me.

"Oh Caden I'm pregnant and it's yours aren't you excited!" She squeels and I force myself not to wince like the rest in the room.

"I would be but I want to make sure you are first. Would you do the test that Dr. Maddie has prepared?" My reply was casual and I watched as she stretched her hand out to Maddie, a smile on her lips.

"Let's get this done and over with then so I can be the proper Queen you deserve Cady-poo." Goddess did I want this wolf dead right now. I couldn't wait for this to end and so Grace and I could relax happily for the night.

Maddie quickly pulled out the sterilizing pads, a needle being put together by her assistant while she sterilized Audry's arm. Quickly the blood was drawn and the tube was placed in a machine. It would be the longest three minutes until the results were in.

[It's killing me not being in there.] Grace links me, her irritation showing through each word.

[I know baby but it'll be alright. Well have this figured out and then we can go to bed. It's late and we have your corination tomorrow.] My words were calm and soothing even though I was ready to kill the bleach blonde in this room.

"Your Majesty." The sound of the assistant calling for me and I couldn't help but smile. It was results time. With a nod I motion for her to continue.

"She isn't pregnant." A blur follows that statement as the sound of some one chocking behind me was heard. I could hear the fierce growl filling the air as I turned to watch my mate with Audry held against the wall.

"You will be at my Corination and you will sit there like a good mutt and watch me be crowned your Queen. I have been through The Run and beaten it. I delt with ragers and rapists. You mutt do not scare me. But you do piss me off. Step out of line and I will kill you." With that my mate throws Audry to the ground, the sound of the other wolf gasping for breath before my mate leaves the room. The rest of us follow and I watch as Maddie rush to Grace, rubbing her back and talking to her in such a low voice even my wolf hearing couldn't pick it up.

I do know one thing. Grace was going to need a lot of T.L.C. from me tonight.
