Pearl x Male Orphan Reader

Yn: "Pearl! Come quick!"

He yelled from across the living room,

A gem opened the door, as she looked around nervously.

Pearl: "What is it, Yn? Did you hurt yourself?"

Yn: "Yes..."

He sniffed a bit, looking down at his knee, which showed a red mark.

Pearl: "Oh dear, that needs to be tended to right away!"

She grabbed his hand, leading him to the bathroom. She turned on the water and took out a paper towel, soaking it up.

Pearl: "How did this happen?"

Yn: "I was playing with my airplane and I tripped on the carpet and..."

Pearl: "You don't need to explain every detail, Yn. Let's just get you cleaned up."

He nodded as she picked him up, setting him down on the sink.

She then took the wet paper towel and began wiping softly.

Pearl: "Does it hurt?"

Yn: "No.."

She continued wiping and grabbed the peroxide, and took out a dry towel, and soaked it a little.

Pearl: "Okay, this may sting a little, but  it'll help the injury disappear faster, trust me."

Yn nodded again, making her smile, she placed the towel on his knee.

Pearl: "You know, this reminds me of when I had to care for Steven when he was your age, always getting into messes..."

Yn: "Do you protect Steven?"

Pearl was surprised by the child's question.

Pearl: "Of course I do! He may still think he's grown, but to me, he will always be that messy little boy."

She finished up, applying a bandaid.

Pearl: "There! All done."

She was about to lift him from the counter...

Yn: "Pearl? I have a question..."

Pearl: "Yes, Yn?"

Yn: "Do you take care of Steven, like a mom would?"

She raised a brow at the boy's question, but replied with a sigh.

Pearl: "Yes, but I'm not his mother, his real mom was Rose Quartz. Why are you asking me this, Yn?"

He didn't answer, twiddling his thumbs.

Yn: "I...wantyoutobemymom!"

He said quickly, surprising the tall gem.

Pearl: "Yn..."

Yn: "You take care of me alot, miss Pearl. And I really want you to be my mom, because I don't have one! No one else wanted a weak orphan like me, a-and...."

Pearl kept staring at the boy, who was crying so much tears. He covered his eyes, trying to calm down.

Pearl: "Yn...look at me..."

Suddenly, he felt two hands grab his, lowering them to see Pearl kneeling down to his level, he saw she was also crying.

Pearl: "You are a strong human, and you are destined for great things, so don't you dare call yourself a weakling..."

She wiped his tears away, and began hugging him tightly.

Pearl: "...And I would be proud to be your mother..."

Yn closed his eyes, hugging her back.

Yn: "Can I call you mom now?"

Pearl smiled, as she let go, looking into the boy's eyes.

Pearl: "I don't see why not."

Amethyst: "And you can call me and Garnet your aunties!"

The purple gem poked her head out near the bathroom exit.

Pearl: "AMETHYST! Quit eavesdropping!"

Pearl turned to Amethyst with anger.

She snickered, running away, making Yn giggle.
