Messaging Strangers [Louis Tomlinson]

Day 19

Chloe wipes her eyes and sniffles as she tries to make her way to Harry's room. Her breath leaves her however when she smacks right into someone, knocking herself into the wall.

"I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was-" Her voice trails off as she looks up to the person she ran into. "Oh, um," she fights back more tears as she sees Briana looking at her curiously.

"Hi, I'm Briana," the girl holds out her hand to Chloe with a smug smile. Chloe rakes her eyes over Briana's face before hesitantly shaking the offered hand. "Chloe," she mumbles and Briana smirks. "I know who you are," Chloe's eyebrows lift at the girl's tone and she shrugs.

"Is there something wrong?" Briana asks and Chloe can't stand her voice. "No, nothing's wrong. Not that it's much of your business anyways," Chloe says, a bit more rudely than she initially intended.

This just makes Briana's smile grow and Chloe pushes back the feeling of nausea it brings her. "Well, seeing as I'm going to be part of the family soon, I think it is my business," She states, rubbing her palm over her flat stomach. Chloe almost belches at the sight.

"Part of the what? Are you kidding me? You actually think Louis is going along with this?" Chloe raises her voice with every question. The nerve of this girl.

+

"Since I'm carrying his baby, it does make me part of the family," she says, still rubbing her stomach that doesn't even look pregnant. "It's not even his baby!" Chloe shouts and Briana's smirk finally drops into a glare.

"Don't be stupid, of course it's his child," she spits out and Chloe's jaw drops. Is this what Louis was keeping from her?

+

The sound of a door opening attracts the attention of the two girls and they see Harry step out from the room next to them. "Hey, what's all the commotion about-oh, um-" Harry trails off as he notices who was shouting in the hallway.

+

"Well, this is awkward," he rubs the back of his neck as he looks between Chloe and Briana. "Briana, I think you should go. You don't really belong here," Harry says, his tone even as his words are sharp and Chloe has never been more grateful for him.

+

"Don't worry, I was just leaving," she announces as she turns on her heel and marches off towards the elevator, stepping in as the doors open revealing Paul eating a sandwich. Harry takes a step towards Chloe but she shakes her head, wiping furiously at her eyes.

+

"It-It's true. He lied to me. Briana-she-she-" Chloe let's out a shattered sob and Harry rushes forward to take her in his arms. "Hey, listen, let's go back to my room. I'll make you some tea and you can tell me what she said. I'm sure we can figure it all out," he says softly as he strokes her hair but she shakes her head.

"No, I-uh-I have to go talk to him. I have to see if what she said was true," she whispers and Harry nods. "Okay, I'll be in my room if you need me." He gives her one last worried look before he turns around and goes back into his room.

Chloe takes a deep breath before turning back around to Louis' room. She reaches for the door, entering in her key card that she got back yesterday when she moved back into the room.

+

She slowly opens the door and sees all the lights off. She sees a glow of light coming from the bathroom area and she makes her way over to it.

+

She sees Louis sitting on the closed toilet seat and it doesn't register in her mind what he's doing at first. She can see his hand holding the blade and the red streaks running down his arms, but it doesn't all click.

+

"L-Louis?" Chloe stutters out and his head whips up so fast his neck cracks. He immediately freezes and he drops the blade. It clatters to the ground, the sound echoing along the walls.
