You were the only girl on the football. Sometimes you were treated as one of the guys, sometimes you were treated as a girl. When it came to football, you wanted to be treated as one of the guys. You didn't want special treatment because you were a girl. Jason Blossom had recently died, you felt sorry for his family, but the competition for his number and spot soon began and you wanted his spot. Coach Clayton told you and Reggie that he was deciding between the both of you. As soon as Coach Clayton walked away, Reggie said it would be easy to beat you. You were pissed, you knew what he meant by that. After practice, you went to the boy's locker room. It was honestly normal for you to be in there since coach Clayton's office is in there. You looked for Reggie, who was all the way in the back.
"Mantle!" You said to get his attention.
Reggie had a towel around his waist as he turned around. He looked at you and smirked.
"What the fuck did you mean that it 'would be easy to beat me'?" You asked.
"y/n, we both know that I'm way more ready to be captain than you." Reggie said.
"Are you saying that I can't beat you? That I can't be Captain and have Jason's number? I deserve to be Captain and have Jason's number." You said.
"If anybody deserves to be Captain and wear Jason's number, its me." Reggie said.
"Bullshit and you know it." You said.
You turned around and walked out of the boy's locker room, slamming the door behind you.
