The Very Small

If you Google 'Smallest Size' you'll see articles about small penises. However, my interest is in the smallest significant size in physics. This is what physicists call Planck length. No, it's not how long the plank that pirates use.

What the heck is Planck length?

Basically, it's the quanta of the fabric of space

Basically, it's the quanta of the fabric of space. It's a distance where space can no longer exist. Any attempt to produce a size smaller than this constant will result in a black hole.

What is the Planck length? It's very precise and equals 1.616229(38) times 10 to the -36 meters. This constant was calculated using the following equation.

The number in the parenthesis is the standard deviation.

The Planck length L is calculated thusly: L = √ hG/c3 or the square root of h (the reduced Planck constant) times G (the gravitational constant) divided by the speed of light cubed

The reduced Planck constant h is 1.054571800 (13) times 10 to -34 Joules-seconds per rad (angular distance).
G, the gravitational constant is 6.67408(31) times 10 to the -11 meters cubed per kilogram-seconds squared.

The Planck length is difficult to visualize. The way I saw it explained is as follows; if you took a 0.005 mm dot and magnified it to the size of the universe, then the Planck length would be the size of a 0.005 mm dot. Physicists say that anything smaller than this doesn't make sense.

The reality is that if scientists could find something at the Planck length then it would be the thing that would explain everything.

My take on this is that what we're talking about here is a singularity, something that's even smaller in size than a Planck length. Now, you can see why the idea of singularity is so wild.

By the way, there is also a Planck time, a Planck energy, a Planck mass, a Planck temperature, and a Planck density

By the way, there is also a Planck time, a Planck energy, a Planck mass, a Planck temperature, and a Planck density. All of these are derived from similar equations. The only people who appreciate all of this are physicists.
