Chapter 23 - Crazy

Tonight is obviously one of the best day of my life. Meeting Irene again is just.. amazing. She looked so amazing and she definitely took my breath away.

"Joel.. Joel!"

"Hmm?" I looked straight to her eyes.

"Stop looking at me and eat.. I feel uncomfortable." She said and I nodded.

"It's just.. I miss you a lot.. I just can't believe that I'm here with you again." I said and she smiled.

"Eat.. after this let's walk around the Eiffle Tower." She said and I nodded.

"So.. How's your family doing?" She suddenly asked.

"They're good.. How about yours?"

"Yeah.. They're fine."

"I heard you.. dated a couple of guys." I said in a really careful tone

"Yeah.. I tried to and ended up bad because of you."

"Huh? Me?" I asked her confuse.

"I called your name when me and my ex-boyfriend were making out." I raised my eyebrows and she sighed.

"It happened a few times.. I hate myself for that."

"What makes you decided to call me?" I asked.

"Same as you.. because it's always been you. From the start.. it's always been you. No matter how hard I tried to push you away or move on to someone else.. it's just useless in the end." I can't help but feel so happy. I love this girl.. I love her to death.

"Let's start over again.. Irene." I said hoping that she will agree with me.

"I'll think about it." She smirked and I raised my eyebrows.

"Let's eat faster.. I want to walk and stroll around Eiffel with you."

"I still remember that you've always want to go here.. and we made a promise to go here together." I said and she looked at me straight to my eyes.

"I thought you forgot about it.."

"I never forget everything related to you.. How can I?" She smiled and went back eating.

After we finished eating, we walked out from the restaurant and walked towards the Eiffel tower again. We're holding each other hands tightly and can't stop looking at each other.

"You want to go here with someone you love.. so it means.. you love me?" I asked and she glared at me.

"You and your confidence of yours.."

"But I'm right right?" I smirked and she looked away. I put my arm around her shoulder. She turned her head to me.

"I love you.. Irene." I kissed her cheek and her eyes widen.

"Get away from me.." She pushed me away and I found she's blushing. I held her hand tightly and she kept looking away.

"I miss you a lot.. do you know that?" I asked and she just ignored me.

"Irene.." I called her and stopped walking. We're both right in front of the Eiffel tower now and I held both of her hands making her look at me.

"Irene.." I called and she looked straight to my eyes.

"Hmm?"

"Let's get back together.." I said and she just looked at me without any expression or emotion.

"Be my girlfriend again.. I promise you this time that I won't hurt you.. I won't let you down.. I promise I will make you happy and I will give the entire universe just for you.. I wi-" She suddenly put her index finger on my lips.

"I know all of that.. Joel.. but.."

"But what?" I asked.

"Relationship is a two ways deal. I don't want only you to fight for me but I will fight for you too. I'm sorry that I left you. I'm sorry that I kept pushing you away. I'm sorry that I hurted you.. I'm sorry.." She said and suddenly she let go her hands.

"Close your eyes." She said and I raised my eyebrows.

"You're not going to run away.. right?"

"Close your eyes.. Joel." She smiled.

"Irene.. tell me that-"

"Trust me."

"Okay fine." I closed my eyes and I feel a little anxious because Irene sometimes unpredictable. Suddenly I fee that she put a necklace on me.

"Don't open your eyes.. wait." She said and I keep my eyes close. Suddenly I felt her arms wrapping around my hips and I opened my eyes. I hugged her back tightly and I miss her sweet soft scent a lot.

"I love you.. you annoying man." My body froze when she said that. I didn't expect her to say it first.

"I love you too Irene." I said and she cupped my face crashing her lips to mine. I slipped my hand to her cheek and deepen the kiss.

She pulled away and smiled to me. She pointed at my neck and I looked down to see a puzzle piece necklace.

"Will you wear it everyday?"

"I will never take this off forever." I said and she smiled. She suddenly put a small box in my hand.

"Can you put it on me?" She asked and I nodded. I opened it and put the match puzzle piece necklace on her neck.

She took my hand and pulled off the ring off my hand. She took off her ring too and put it on the box. She closed it.

"Why?"

"This is an old pages.. let's start a new page.. Joel. I don't want to look back anymore." She said as she holds my hand.

"I agree to that.."

"Don't you dare take that off.." She hissed and I chuckled.

"I won't.. I promise."

"Good." She slipped her arms around my hips again hugging me. I hugged her tightly and can't help but feel so happy tonight.

"Wait for me.. for 6 months okay?"

"Nah.. I'll go to New Zealand once a week." I said.

"You're crazy."

"You know I'm crazy Irene.. Bare with it besides.. that's my restaurant." I said and she looked up to me.

"When did you bought it?" She asked and I gulped nervously.

"You didn't buy it 2 years ago.. I know that you're lying.."

"Uhmm."

"When did you buy the restaurant?"

"One day after you got in.." I smiled cheekly and her eyes widen disbelief.

"Joel!"

"What?"

"I can't believe you buy it without thinking!"

"You work there.." I reasoned out.

"Unbelievable!"

"I love you.." I smiled.

"Gosh.. I have a crazy boyfriend!"
