Produce 101 Season 2 (: 프로듀스 101 시즌 2) is a 2017 boy group reality survival show on Mnet. It is a large-scale project in which the public (called 'national producers') "produces" a boy band by choosing 11 members among 101 trainees from 54 entertainment companies. The public also chooses the group's concept, debut song, and group name. On June 16, 2017, the season finale was broadcast live, announcing the final 11 members who would debut, as well as the official group name .

Produce 202 (: 프로듀스 202) is a 2019 idol reality survival show on Mnet. It is a large-scale project in which the public (called 'national producers') "produces" two idol groups, one male and one female, by choosing 22 members amongst 202 male and female trainees from various entertainment companies situated in South Korea. The show has started filming but has yet to release their first airing date.

What makes a reality survival show like Produce 101 unique, is that the final members are decided solely by the public- hence why it is the public that "produces" the group.
[ i made a mistake earlier on in the books when i said that there would be 'judges' in this show. there aren't any judges, only trainers and the representative. please ingore my mistake as i myself, hadn't seen produce 101 when i started this af! ]
🌻 TRAINERS🌻
The trainers are the people who provide the trainees with support during the show. They coach and train the trainees to become perfect idols- there are usually 6 trainers in each show, two vocal trainers, two dance trainers and two rap trainers. Trainers are usually experienced in the entertainment industry (eg; dance trainer Kahi, was a former member for After School).
[ for now, i'm going to use the trainers from the second season of p101, because i know them a lot better compared to the trainers in the first season ]
🌻 REPRESENTATIVE🌻
The representative is like the host for the show, they are usually very well known in the entertainment industry. (From Wikipedia) The representative's main role was to "act as a messenger and a representative of the viewers". For the first season of Produce 101, the representative was Jang Keun Suk, a well known singer and actor- BoA replaced him for Produce 101 Season 2, she is considered the top artist in both Korean and Japan.
