NU'EST are promoting as a quartet -- NU'EST W -- now that Minhyun is prepping for his debut in Wanna One. On the heels of the release of the 2017 version of their track "Look (A Starlight Night)," the boys have dropped a special summer single titled "If You."
"If You" is, uncharacteristically for the season, a ballad. It doesn't contain the uptempo, upbeat rhythms that we usually hear in summer releases. It does, however, have an uplifting chorus, and a switch to R&B during the rap portions, and we get lots of JR rapping. I like how they organically integrate all this together, alternating the tender, softer parts with the edgier raps.
