Request: "We can do whatever you want. It doesn't matter to me." "What if I want it to matter to you?"

You and Daisy had just finished your fourth intense training session of the week and it was only Tuesday.

Coulson had been pushing her harder than ever since she got back from the Afterlife.

Even though she was more confident about her powers, he ordered her to extra training with you to make sure she could really handle being in the field again.

Things had been off between you and Daisy since she returned.

One day you had finally gotten the courage to tell her how you felt about her and asked to talk privately later that day.

The next thing you knew May was telling you that Gordon had taken her.

You spent every day looking for her, then she came back, but she came back different... and with Lincoln.

You couldn't help but think that something was going on between them.

Daisy collapsed onto the couch in the base lounge, you grabbed two beers from the fridge and sat down next to her handing over one of the beers.

"Thanks, I could really use this right now," she told you taking a sip of the beer.

"Coulson's not going to let this up anytime soon you know," you said taking a drink of your own beer.

"Why can't he see that I'm ready to go back into the field already, we've spent weeks training and Lincoln helped me learn how to be in more control of my powers," she complained to you.

You shifted in your seat at the sound of his name, "you've been through a lot, he just wants to make sure you aren't spreading yourself too thin."

She sighed giving up on the subject, "What do you want to do now? The rest of the team is on some mission in Europe, Jemma said they probably won't be back till tomorrow, maybe the day after."

"We can do whatever you want. It doesn't matter to me."

She sat up straighter on the couch and looked to you, "What if I want it to matter to you."

"What are you saying Daisy?"

"I'm saying that before I left you wanted to tell me something and I have a feeling I know what it was about, but ever since I got back the only time you talk to me is when we train."

"It's not important," you said staring at your beer.

"Did it have anything to do with your feelings for me?"

You looked to her in surprise.

"Fitz told me a while ago," she confessed.

"Damn it Fitz," you groaned.

"You know," she said placing her beer on the table, "I was really looking forward to that private talk."

"What about you and Lincoln?"

"What about Lincoln?" she asked confused.

"I don't know, ever since you got back with him it just seemed like there was something... more going on between you two," you muttered.

"Is that why you've been distant? Y/N, Lincoln is just a friend."

"But what about everything that happened at the Afterlife, he helped you with your powers, he was there with you through everything with your parents-" you started but were cut off.

"Y/N, I'm grateful for everything that's Lincoln's done for me but you were one I thought about when I felt like giving up, you kept me holding on."

Without thinking you put your beer down and leaned in to kiss her.

She eagerly returned the kiss grasping the back of your neck.

"I missed you Daisy," you said pulling back for air but keeping your foreheads touching.

"I missed you too Y/N," she told you.

"So... what do you want to do," you asked teasingly.

"I've got some ideas," she smiled leaning back in to kiss you again.
