Aleksios P.O.V:

I speed to the plantation with a very heavy heart. Inside, Rebekah and Nik have already returned and I hear them arguing. I stop outside the mansion and I take a deep breath and I compose myself.

"Are you okay?" I hear Elijah ask from behind me.

"I'm fine." I say in a cold tone, void of emotion. I am still mad at him for believing the worst of our brother.

Elijah and I walk into the mansion, him infront of me and I ignored him. Elijah and I entered the living room in the middle of Bekah and Nik's argument. She has yet to see me.

"Elijah's home. There's only one dagger. Which one of us will you be punishing today?" She asks Nik and I growl and my anger flares. I speed towards her and I grab her in a choke hold against a wall.

"HOW COULD YOU?" I yell out in anger and hurt.

"For centuaries he's taken away everything from me." She says and I throw her to the ground and I look at her in disgust.

"Fair enough. But what had I done to you? Except removing the dagger when Nik wanted to keep you in? Why would you take him from me? You know how we are without one another. Do you really wish to see that again?" I ask her in betrayal and I see guilt in her eyes. I turn away from her and I go to stand by Nik.

"I contemplated a game of eenie-meenie-miney-moe. You betrayed me. My own sister!" Nik roars in hurt.

"Niklaus, don't you dare!" Elijah says and I give him a heated glare.

Nik points the dagger at Elijah. "Perhaps it should be you, brother! Stealing my child away with every fawning moment of tenderness you show to Hayley!" Nik roars again and I almost roll my eyes.

"If he tries it, I'll never forgive him." I say to my twin and Elijah looks taken aback by my words.

"This has nothing to do with Hayley." Elijah defends.

"It has everything to do with her! She's adored you since she arrived. And now my child, my blood, will grow up to call you father!" Nik tells them and I sigh.

"Is that what it is? You are once again worried that you will be left behind? Has history taught you nothing? We don't abandon you, Nik, you drive us away!" Rebekah yells out.

"Just you, not me." I chime up. "And don't yell at him." I say with a glare.

"Is that so? What have I done lately, other than cooperate? I bow down to you, brother, to make up for daggering you. For the greater good of our plan to reclaim our home. Looked the other way, sister, while you repeat the same cycle with Marcel. Falling again for a man you shouldn't be with, while he controls the empire that we built! That he took! Now, I make no excuses for past sins. But in the one moment when you two could have chosen to stand by me- to believe in me, to believe my intentions for my own child were pure- you chose to stand against me, to side with my enemies. Lexie is the only one who always stands by me. I wanted our home back. Now I have it. So, Lexie and I are going to live there. And the two of you... you can stay here together and rot." He tells them.

He angrily shoves the dagger into Elijah's hands as he leaves the house and I follow him.

"Lex." I hear my eldest brother and my sister call in unison but I ignore them and walk up to my twin' side.

Outside, Nik and I find Hayley sitting on the front steps and heads toward the car.

"You're coming with us, little wolf." Nik says in a no no-nonsense tone but this is Hayley we're talking about.
