I groan in annoyance. My stupid co-workers dragged me to the hospital even after I told them it's only a cold.
" I promise (Y/N) it's so worth it. If we catch whatever you have early then you'll be back at work in no time."
I roll my eyes once more and growl. "It's a cold!"
Hanji frowns and feels my head. "F.E.V.E.R." she spells out to me.
I groan again and put my head in my hands. My head hurts like crazy. I wanted to get some pain killers and leave. We were called into a small room and Hanji waves bye to me. I went into the room alone and sat on the examination table. A nurse comes in and does a routine check up and sends me to the E.R. side of the hospital. They give me an iv and draw blood. I lay back on the bed.
"I'm doctor Levi Ackerman what's wrong with you?" a man with short raven hair comes into the room with a clipboard. In simple word's he's drop dead sexy.
"I have a fever and headache," I responded softly. I was feeling calmer now that had a pain medication.
He let out a long sigh and nodded. He changed my iv bag and glanced in my direction. He bent down to my face and seemed to be looming over me.
"Sleepy?" His voice was soft not as rough as it was when he came into the room.
I nodded in response to his question.
"Good. That means the sedative is kicking in," he mumbled
why in the hell would he be giving me that?! I couldn't move. He pushed my hair out of my face and look over at what I could only assume was my paperwork.
"Relax. The sedative is for when the painkiller wears off. So you won't feel the pain. Or it is my stupid way of keeping you here so I can watch this fever of yours." He walked out as my eyes closed.
I woke up a couple hours later. It was dark outside.
The door to my room opened and in came my doctor.
"Well look who woke up. My favorite patient. How's your head?"
I nodded and got up. He watched closely and pulled out his phone. My phone rang and I answered it.
"Hello?" my voice came out raspy
"Good now you have my number. I will pick you up at 6 later tomorrow night."
I look up at him with a shocked expression and I began to laugh.
"That's the smoothest way to get someone to go out with you." I continued to laugh.
His serious face melted into a laugh.
"I saw the way you looked at me." he smirked as he took the iv out of my arm.
"Are you always this close to your patients?"
"The fuck do you take me for? Most of those idiots are hypochondriacs."He sneered as he rolled his eyes.
We talk a bit more until he had to go to see someone else. I got dressed and signed out. I was trying to get a cab when someone grabbed my arm and spun me around. I was spun around to be face to face with Levi. He smirked and pulled me closer to him by my waist. I giggle and laugh as Levi leaned into me.
"I've decided to take you to the mall and then dinner. Right now."
I smile and nodded in agreement
"How'd I get so lucky," we say in unison.
