Chapter Two His Respect

You heard voices talking and it slowly woke you up. You opened your eyes to see three blurry faces. "Hey She's awake !" "Is she wearing any clothes under that gown?"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." "Ow!" "Serves you right you old pervert!" "Shhh, guys your being to loud." You focused your eyes and you saw Krillen, Master Roshi, and Chi Chi. "Hi." You said trying to speak. "Uh, hello there." Krillen said scratching his head. "How are you feeling?" Chi Chi asked with a worried expression.

"I'm alive and breathing." You replied. You didn't know how else you would answer her. You were in pain. It hurt to breath and to talk. Your ankle..Well you couldn't even move it slightly. Your eyes wandered and you realized you were in the hospital. "Where's.." You breathed. "Where's Lord Beerus?" You asked curiously. "He left a few days ago." Chi chi replied. "A few days ago?" You asked confused. Chi chi frowned. "You've been out cold for a solid week." Krillen said with a sad expression. Your eyes widened. A week!!?

There was a loud bang on your door. "Hey guys!! I got it!!" The door opened and a enthusiastic Goku rushed in the room with a bag of senzu beans. He looked pretty pleased with himself. "Oh hey your awake! That's great!" Goku stopped to breath. Beerus rolled his eyes as he entered the room and he walked over to you. "You look like your going to be fine." Beerus said yawning. "Did you come to check on me?"

You asked Beerus feeling curious. Beerus huffed. "No, I came for that apology you owe me." Beerus stated crossing his arms. "For what?" You asked with wide eyes. "You fell on me. I want my due respect. That entitles me to an apology!" You were confused but didn't argue.

"Oh I'm..... I'm sorry." You said feeling confused. "That works for me." He replied before turning and leaving. You gulped. Goku handed you a sensu bean. "This will heal ya right up!" Goku said happily.

You ate it and were surprised when your ankle, stomach, and body suddenly felt as if it had never endured pain. You got up with ease and it made everyone cheer. You smiled at them and started chatting with Chi Chi about staying at her place. While keeping Beerus in your mind.

Chi Chi had taken you back to her place and set up a bed for you in the guest room. She wiped away a tear from her face. "This was Gohan's room." She replied looking like she was remembering something. She finally smiled. "I'll start cooking. I'd ask for your help but I don't want to pressure you after having been in the hospital."

She said grinning at you. You smiled. "I don't mind helping out." You replied smiling. Chi chi laughed. "Oh, nonsense! Save that determination for your future husband! Although you do remind me of My little Goten!" Chi chi said while smiling with stars in her eyes. You grinned. It was obvious she loved her family. "Future husband?" You questioned. Chi Chi nodded.

"Yes, even when your sick you'll need to be the stone. It's a wife's duty to be strong for her house hold and husband!" Chi Chi grunted out as she grabbed a heavy dish making your eyes widen. "She must be firm, determined, and have her wits!" Chi Chi yelled as she cut up vegetables. You watched in awe and in slight fear. She was strong. She stopped and smiled at you. "I think you'll make a great wife." Chi Chi said smiling. You blushed at her words.

Chi Chi continued making supper and you went to the guest room. You fell on the bed. It was nice and comfy. You sighed happily than closed your eyes. A loud knock on the door startled you. You got up and opened it seeing Bulma. "Hi! We haven't met yet but I'm Bulma. I brought these for ya!" She held four bags of clothes. You could tell they were clothes because it was overflowing. "Thank you." You replied smiling.

"It's not a problem." Bulma said as she set them on the ground. You smiled. "Now go ahead and rest I'm sure I'll get time to visit with you later." She said before leaving. You looked at the clothes. Honestly you wanted to take a shower. You searched through the first bag managing to find some clothes. You checked the closet and realized it was a bathroom. You smiled. Bingo. 

You walked in the bathroom with the clothes and we're pleased when you found some towels in a cabinet. You stripped of your clothes and entered the shower turning the water on and setting it at the right temperture. You let your muscles relax under the warm water. You scrubbed with soap and rinsed. Than just stayed under the water enjoying the soothing warmth. Your thoughts begin to race. "Why did he save me?" You wondered.

"I don't like being disrespected and I don't like seeing defenseless females get hurt." That was Beerus's voice! You felt your eyes grow wide. You opened the curtains and stuck your head out. Beerus wasn't in the bathroom. "Hello?" You called out. Beerus huffed. "I'm in your bedroom."

You blinked. "Hey I'm not defenseless!" You argued. Beerus laughed. "Let's test that." He turned the knob and let the door swing open.

Your mouth fell open. Beerus crossed his arms. "If I were to walk in this bathroom what would stop me from opening the curtains and seeing your naked self." You blushed. "You..You wouldn't. Your not that type of person!" You shouted. "First you should have locked the door, secondly I am simply asking a question." You blinked. "I am not defenseless." You stated.

Beerus walked into the bathroom. "Hey don't.." He closed his eyes and yanked the curtains back. "You are defenseless." You were mad, he may have saved you this was to far! You grabbed a shampoo bottle and hit him on the head. He grabbed your wrist that held the shampoo bottle against his head. "Well at least you know how to retaliate." Beerus said dryly.

"It was still to late, I would have already seen you." He replied turning away. He grabbed a towel and turned back wrapping a towel around you while staring into your eyes. You felt tears form. Beerus wiped them away.

"Don't cry. I would not hurt you but someone else would. Try to be more careful. I want you to be more aware of your surroundings. Alright?" He asked you looking for an answer. "Okay." He nodded than left the room.

When you had gotten dressed and walked out into the living room. He wasn't there. You knew you wouldn't see him again for a while.

Beerus Pov:

I flew over to Whis who was scarfing down some ramen. "Ready to leave Lord Beerus." I crossed my arms deep in thought. "Lord Beerus?" I blinked. "Yes, lets get going Whis." I placed my hand against his back and we went home. "So are you happy knowing she's alright? That's why you left to go check on her right?" Whis asked in a curious voice. "Yes. She's fine." I said not wanting to talk about it anymore. I doubt I'd have anything to do with her again.
