Chapter 17

Tessa's POV

It was 11.50am, I was sitting in my couch and playing angry birds. I looked up to see Rachel still pissed about yesterday but she decided to come to lunch with us. I'm not sure what happened yesterday between me n Ethan but I'm kind of revealed we got stopped by Kyle. I don't know how I got carried away and crossed my line, maybe he was god damn sexy...

I like him for sure but going more than a make out in short period of time is a bit fast for me. Thinking about Rachel and Kyle I'm a bit confused. She told me they were having a nice time dancing and when she went to kiss him but he just ran out leaving her in the middle of the dance floor all alone. As far as I know Kyle is not that kind of guy to behave with a girl, but something is not adding up and I'm going to find it today when I meet him for lunch.

I was brought out of my thoughts by the knock on the door. I opened the door with a hello but was greeted back with a better one when Ethan pulled me to him for a kiss. It was short and sweet but still sent shivers down my spine.

"Hi. Ready to go?" he asked. I nodded

"Where's Rachel?"

"She is inside I'll go get her. But heads up she is still pissed" I went in got my bag and Rachel.

The drive was silent except for the low humming of the music in the car. We reached the restaurant to find other already there but Kyle was missing. When I asked Leah about him, she told that he was not feeling well. Guess we all missed Rachel kicking his butt today. That would be a sight to see, after lunch we went for movie. Seth was trying to loosen up Rach and its working too. That boy Seth has special skill to brighter up any situation. Even if he is a year younger he still keeps up with these guys.

Me and Ethan were in the corner seats. He had his arms around my shoulder and my head resting on his shoulder making me feel comfy. Half way through the movie I can feel Ethan moving uneasily in his seat. I looked up to see his face strained like he was trying to hold something back.

"Ethan. Are you ok?" I asked worried

"No. I think I'm going to be sick"

"Oh my god. Maybe we should go to the hospital and get it checked"

"No no. its fine I'll have my family doctor come to my home and check it out"

"Ok. Come on lets go" I told standing up and all of us came out to the parking lot. I went to open his car when he stopped me.

"No no no..... Seth and Leah will take me. Liam will drop you guys at home" he said panicked.

"Really I don't mind coming with you"

"NO.... Please.. go with Liam please" he said getting in his car with Seth on the wheels and Leah in the back and they drove off.

What's his problem? Why is he not letting me come with him? Liam drove us home. I got a "I'm sorry" Message from Ethan during the drive. I replied that it was ok and to update me with what the Dr said.

We were in my room and Rachel was deep in her, I asked her what she was thinking.

"There is something going on with these guys. I can sense it but can't point out what but definitely something is up"

I thought what she told. These guys always hang with their group and never let anyone enter them easily apart from me which was different. They live In the same house, not to mention a huge house. Ethan's behavior when we met first, at the wedding and today when he didn't allow me to go with him. Well now I'm sure something is up. I waited for his call but when I didn't get it. I called him. Liam answered his mobile and told that he was fine and sleeping. After a few hours I called again, it was Seth this time and told me he was still asleep. I asked him to tell Ethan to call me when he is up. I waited fro his call till I fell asleep.

Sunday morning I was up by 6am. As soon as I opened my eyes I reached for my mobile to find it without a message of call from Ethan. I turned to look at Rachel who was sound asleep. I couldn't go back to sleep. My mom had a day off and was sleeping in. I thought of trying to cook breakfast, but I know I'll end up making a huge mess so I settled for a run. I got up and dressed for my run grabbing my iPod and sneakers.

I ran along the path leading to the park nearby. I sat on the swing in the park and thought about my dad. He used to take us to the park and push our swings so high that will, make Marie scream. We had so much fun. I missed him a lot. My thoughts drifted to the day of his accident and it made my eyes sting. We avoid that topic in our family. I can never forget the way he cared and loved us. He've always looked out for us.

I somehow ended up thinking about Ethan. The way he looks at me, with so much care and affection in his eyes, how my hands and lips fit perfectly with his. I wonder if we had some special bond or connection from our last birth. Him being sick makes me sad. Why hadn't he called back? I should call back and check on him. I jogged back to my home to find my mom in kitchen enjoying her morning coffee.

"Hey sweetie you are up early?"

"Ya mom its been a while I went for a run so I thought why not?" I replied her while grabbing a water bottle from the fridge and drinking it.

"Well good for your health then" she said sipping her coffee.

"I'm going to shower and meet you down for breakfast" I told her making my way to the stairs.

I took a warm long shower. When I got back to my room after the shower, Rachel was still sleeping. I thought of having a bit fun. I got dresses, opened my room door and whistled lowly knowing that he'll hear it clearly. Boomer came running to me. I motioned for him to be quite and let him in. I whispered him to wake up Rachel. He loves to wake up people with his wet kisses. Whereas Rachel freaks out when waken by Boomer. He climbed on my bed and crawled to her. He nudged her hands covering the face with his snout. She groaned but removed her hands showing her face clearly. This dog is too smart for his own good. He started licking on his target. She opened her eyes to see Boomer closely licking her. She started screaming and pushed off Boomer. She got out off bed so fast; she tripped on the spread and fell on her butt. God it was so funny. I was laughing so hard my sides were aching.

"Tessa... you stupid. I'm going to kill you both" she came at me with furious eyes.

"Run Boomer run" I said bolting out of my room. She chased us around the house until she caught me in backyard and started tickling me. Did I tell you I'm very ticklish? I was laughing with tears in my eyes.

"OK. Ok. I'm sorry..... stop... please" I said trying to get from under her.

"Ya you better remember that before u do something like that next time" she said rolling of me and lying next to me.

My mom called us for breakfast. After breakfast I was in my bed and Rachel was in the shower. I called Ethan to check how he was doing.

"Hello" it was Seth

"Seth? Its Tessa. Can I talk to Ethan?"

"Hm.... He is..... is still..... sleeping" he shuttered.

"WHAT? He is been sleeping from yesterday. Tell me what's wrong with him. Is he ok?"

"Ya he is fine. The doc told to get rest. I'll tell him you called when he wakes up"

"Ok. Make sure he calls me"

"Ya sure bye"

"Bye" I ended the call.

Rachel came out of shower and asked me what's wrong looking at my worried face. I told her what happened. She told me he would be fine and call me when he wakes up. I caught up with my school work and Rachel was chatting with her friends.

Its 8 at night, Ethan has not called me still. When I called him, either it was switched off or no one was attending the call. What the hell is happening? If he didn't show up for school tomorrow I'll go to check on him myself.
