Chapter 8

Well, I'm so busy... I haven't got the chance to continue editing the story but here I am, with chapter 8!

In Kai's Car

Yun Hee POV

Kai looks a little different today but I can't seem to tell what's different. Was it because he was acting all nice or was it because he kind of looks hot today? Oh well, I need to stop thinking of this and find something to break the ice between him in this car or honestly, I might suffocate and die because it's a little awkward. 

"Hey, seatbelt." Kai said as he leaned over to my direction, grabbed the seatbelt and buckled it for me while I froze in my seat, unable to move. 

Now that's awkward. What am I supposed to do? How could he do something like that and then expect me to respond with thanks? Oh lord, have mercy on my poor heart, please. If he's going to do something like that to me, I think I might fall for him but this is wrong. He has a girlfriend, wake up your idea, Yun Hee. He's just doing all of these because he feels apologetic. 

"I'm feeling a little tired, I woke up too early today, I'm just going to close my eyes for a while. Let me know when we are there." I said and I quickly closed my eyes trying to fake my nap while on my way there. 

Kai's POV

This Yun Hee, did she really think, I wouldn't know that she is faking her nap but that's honestly quite cute. Seeing her being embarrassed yet not knowing what to do. With this thought in mind, I giggled a little trying to hold back my laughter so I would not wake her up in the middle of her fake sleep. 

After 45mins of driving, I found a parking lot near the venue and parked at the slot. I turned and look at Yun Hee and I realised she actually fell asleep while trying to fake sleep. This is hilarious but looking at her up close, she looks angelic in her sleep. So beautiful. 

I felt my cheeks turned red and my heart started to race. It felt warm in an air-conditioned car. 

Oh well, should I wake her up or not? She looks tired though, maybe I should let her sleep a while more, I thought. 

Feeling bored, I decided to take a few cute photos of her while she is still asleep. I smiled while scrolling through the photos. I kept my phone back in my pocket and fold my arms wanting to lie back to rest but I saw Yun Hee shivering. She must feel cold, cuddling up like a ball. I took off my jacket and cover her cold body, gave her a light peck on her forehead and then turned on the heater instead. 

After 15 mins

"Kai, are we there yet?" Yun Hee rubbed her eyes as she woke up from her nap. 

"Yes, we are, you fell asleep, I didn't want to disrupt your sleep. Now let's go to the bridal shop shall we?" I asked and she nodded her head as she opened the door to step out of the car. 

We walked into the bridal shop and 2 retail assistants, a male, and a female greeted us with wide smiles on their faces. I smiled back at them while Yun Hee gave them a small bow while greeting them.  

The female retail assistant attended to Yun Hee's request while I sat there waiting for her to try the dresses. I got quite bored and decided to scroll my Instagram and found this cute wedding dress in one of the sponsored posts, it was a mermaid cut dress with pearls on it, and it's in cosmic latte colour. Perfect, I thought to myself and I called out to one of the retail assistant to get them to choose a very similar dress to the one that I saw in the post. 

"Here you go, sir. This is the closest one that we have to the image. Actually, you have an amazing fashion sense, sir. This is the latest trend and it will fit your fiancée perfectly. You both seem to have a very loving relationship and you guys look great together" The male retail assistant said to me while Yun Hee was trying out some dresses. 

"Right, give this to her and tell her to try this instead. I'll go pick out a suit for the wedding." I said and started flipping through rows to find a perfect suit.  The male retail assistant left to pass the dress to his colleague.

Red. Green. Blue. White. Black. This place had its varieties but I was most interested in the matching suit in cosmic latte colour. It was like this is a match made in heaven. 

I picked the suit out from the rack and hand it over to the male retail assistant. He looked at it and said, " Good choice sir. This and the dress you picked out is from the same series and there are only 12 sets of these in the world. This is the last set left, would you like to try it? We can amend the sizing but it might take about 3 weeks" 

I nodded and he brought me over to the fitting room. I put the suit on and I thought it looked perfect just that it was a little long and broad on me but they said they can amend this for me but it takes about 3 weeks. Perfect, I thought. Now, I have a reason to call my parents and delay the wedding. 

I took out my phone and dialed my mum's number.

Yun Hee POV

Somehow Kai made me try on this dress but I absolutely love it. It fits a little tight at my bust but other than that it feels fine. I said yes to this dress and the retail assistant took my measurements and told me the dress needs to be sent for amendment. 

I changed back into my clothes again and walked out of the store after they told me that Kai has paid for it. Kai looked at me and smile while I asked, " So, how was the fitting, they told me it will come in about 3 weeks, so I guess, we may have to postpone the wedding?" 

"Mmhmm. I called mum and they said it's fine. Since... the hall that they are booking is quite difficult to book and they haven't thought of the design and stuff yet... Don't worry "He said, while petting on my head. 

"Alright, got it. Don't be late next week. Meet me at Sugar Cafe... We'll walk to the orphange from there. I'll send you a text later." I said. 

"Hey, I have a suggestion. Can we be friends instead of constants arguments? Otherwise, when we get married, it might get awkward." Kai asked awkwardly while scratching his head feeling a little embarassed.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind being friends. I thought we were good?" I laughed while answering. 

"Now, that made me sound stupid. Welcome to my world, Yun Hee." Kai said while putting out his hand. 

I grabbed his hand and gave him a handshake, " Welcome to mine, Kai."
