Training camps were supposed to be fun, right? Playing and running around under the sun, with your closest friends, learning new techniques and improving your powers...sounds so dreamy when worded that way.

Only that, in reality, things hadn't turned that way for you. Not at all.

The whole class had been split into groups of four to play a game in the woods during the late afternoon. It was a treasure hunt, and different traps were hidden within the trees so that you were forced to use your quirks to get through them. It sounded great!

Unfortunately, All Might didn't have a better idea than pairing you together with Yaoyorozu and Mineta. Momo wasn't the problem...but her presence made Mineta even more annoying. At least the fourth member of the group was your boyfriend, Todoroki, who looked equally ungrateful about the other guy being in the team.

It only took five minutes for your other two companions to disappear in the forest. Apparently, the only "treasure hunt" Mineta was willing to play was poor Yaoyorozu's boobs. You weren't even mad about her running away and hiding.

After that moment, even though you thought that without Mineta distracting you everything would be much easier, things began to go downhill. Why? Well, let's just say the traps and tasks the teachers had set were supposed to be completed by four students, not just two. It didn't matter how strong you or Todoroki were, it was really hard to get through them. It couldn't be helped.

Just as you couldn't help spraining your ankle as you fell into the ground after trying to free yourself from a trap.

"Fuck" wise words from Todoroki as he saw you in pain "are you ok? Can you stand up?"

"I don't think so" you hissed, grabbing the hurting area, as your boyfriend carefully sat right next to you and began to examine the injury "It hurts like hell"

"I think it's sprained...I better carry you back to the camp"

"But Shoto!" you exclaimed, guilty and embarrassed as he picked you up bridal style "we are going to lose the game if we..."

"I don't care; I just want you to be safe"

You bit your lips, trying not to voice any oppositions, even though you felt it was your fault he had lost the chance of winning the competition. Well, your other two companions had quite a big part of the blame too. But they were nowhere to be seen.

You were beginning to calm down, relaxing on your boyfriend's arms (come on, who wouldn't find the pleasure in resting on that guy's arms and smelling his scent for like, fifteen consecutive minutes??) and telling yourself the situation was already as bad as it could be. There was nothing that could probably make things more inconvenient, right?

Wrong, at that very second it started to rain.

"Seriously??" you screamed into the damp air, unable to believe your luck.

"We need to find shelter; the camp is way too far away"

How was he even that composed?? Where did he take so many patience from??

You had no other option, since the rain was starting to form sticky, dense mud under your feet. And let's just say carrying an injured someone in the middle of a mud swamp wasn't a very good idea. So Todoroki walked through the endless trees and layers of rainfall, until he found a lonely cave almost completely covered by shrubbery.
