Concerts ~ Dustin Lynch

"Are you ready to see daddy?" I smiled at Kane while buckling him into his car seat. He nodded wildly and I laughed, "Okay, calm down." He giggled and pushed his face into his hands. After double checking Kane's seat belts, I shut the door and hopped into the driver's seat, "Here we go!" Kane cheered and I laughed, pulling out of the driveway.

It didn't take long to make it to the venue and after finding out that Dustin was hanging out backstage, Kane and I made our way to his dressing room. I knocked on the door and a muffled voice called out, "Come in!" I opened the door and stepped inside.

Kane's face immediately lit up and he squirmed in my arms, "Dada!"

Dustin jumped up from his seat, "Kane, buddy!" Kane basically leaped into Dustin's arms.

I crossed my now empty arms over my chest, "Glad to see I'm so loved."

Dustin chuckled and leaned in to place a kiss on my lips, "Hey, baby." The three of us sat down, Kane refusing to leave Dustin's side, and talked for a while before someone knocked and told Dustin that it was time for him to go onstage. Dustin passed Kane over to me, "Gonna hang out with mama while you guys watch me sing?" Kane nodded and Dustin kissed his forehead. We followed Dustin as he made his way to the stage, staying in the wings as he went out to greet the screaming crowd. Kane cling to me tightly as we watched Dustin perform all his songs. Towards the end of the set, Kane started to get restless, so I put him on the ground and held his hand. Unfortunately I wasn't holding onto him tightly enough because before I could even react, he had slipped his hand from mine and dashed out onto the stage. I followed him halfway, but retreated when I saw that Dustin had noticed him. Dustin spoke into his microphone as he stepped over to our son, "Hey, it's my mini me." He scooped Kane into his arms and adjusted his hat. The crowd was going crazy and I smiled. Kane took one look at the crowd and immediately buried his face in Dustin's shoulder, causing him to chuckle, "You wanna sing the next song with me, buddy?" Kane nodded, so Dustin gestured to his band and they started to play Cowboys and Angels. I watched from the wings as Dustin sang, occasionally trying to get Kane to pick his head up and sing with him. I laughed as Kane finally lifted his head and sang the last word with Dustin. Everyone was cheering and Kane had a huge smile on his face. Dustin laughed and turned to Kane, "Ready to go back to mama?" Kane nodded. Dustin smiled over at me, so I started to make my way over to my two boys. The crowd awed as Kane reached out to me and I wrapped him up in my arms. I started to make my way off the stage, chuckling as I noticed Kane waving goodbye to the crowd.

After Dustin did his encore, he met us backstage. He picked Kane up, "You guys coming to the meet and greet?" I nodded and let him lead me from the dressing room. We went into another room and Dustin stood at the table with Kane in his arms. I stood off to the side, leaning on the wall. Soon enough the group of people was let in and the first few girls awed when they saw Kane. Kane quickly turned his head from them and held tighter to Dustin. Dustin chuckled, "He's a little shy." The girls awed again while Dustin nudged Kane, "You gonna say hi?" Kane shook his head, so Dustin looked over at me. I walked over and took Kane from him, bringing him back to my spot against the wall. I watched Dustin sign autographs and take pictures with his fans for almost an hour before there was just one person left. Kane had fallen asleep on my shoulder and I wished I could have been in his position. Finally the last girl left and Dustin made his way to us. He smiled at me and patted Kane's leg, "Let's get you two home."

I nodded, "Please." Dustin chuckled and we walked out to the car together, ready to go home and collapse in bed.
