Taking the (s)pill

"The second time this week officer Hopps!" Chief Bogo scolded Judy, yelling in his office.

"I know sir, but I was taking care of-" Judy tried to speak but the caper buffalo cut her off.

"I don't CARE, Hopps! I'm placing you on desk duty until you know that slacking off at work is prohibited."

Judy nodded. "Y-yes sir."
She left chief Bogo's office and was greeted by her favorite fox in vibrant red.

"How'd it go?" Nick asked, getting out of his chair and walking with her.

"I've been put on desk duty." Judy said while hanging her head.

"Hey, I'm stuck on filing so basically I get to see you." He nudged Judy, which caused her to smile.

"Yeah....I guess." Judy giggled.

Nick put his arm around Judy's shoulder as they walked to the lobby to receive the files and paper work from Clawhauser.

"Hiya guys!" Clawhauser said with a smile as big as the moon. He quickly took a bite of his doughnut while he waited for them to answer.

"Hello, Ben." Judy greeted first.

"Sup, Chubs." Nick casually said with his all time favorite lazy demeanor.

Judy gasped and punched Nick in the arm. "Nick, that was rude!"

Clawhauser laughed. "No, I don't mind. It's an honor to get a nick-name from Nick."

Nick glared at Judy for punching him and he flicked her ears when she wasn't looking.

"Nick! Stop! I know you flicked my ear!" Judy growled at the shrugging fox.

"But it's okay for you to punch me whenever?" Remarked a sarcastic Nick.

Clawhauser watched the two argue in awe and was already  thinking of ship names for them.

Judy punched Nick in his arm again and he flinched. "Ouch! You're soo abusive. That can come in handy later on~" he muttered the last part but Judy heard and stomped on his foot.

"Anyways Ben," Judy tried to sound like she was not about to kill the fox.

"I need the paperwork and files required for my time on desk duty, the same for Nick."

Clawhauser nodded and squealed as Nick flicked her ears again. "You okay, Chubs?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, I'm just debating on whether I should write a book or not. I was thinking about these two mammals who work as police officers and who would make an excellent couple. What do you think?" Clawhauser said quickly.

"What are the animal's species?" Judy questioned.

"A fox and a bunny!" Clawhauser said, getting all giddy.

"Ohhh...." Nick and Judy said in unison.

"W-well, interspecies relationships are frowned upon." Nick stated while clearing his throat.

"And plus, fox's and bunnies aren't right for each other." Judy added.

"What do you mean?" Clawhauser said, becoming serious.

"Well, take me and Nick for an example, he's a fox.......a-and I'm a-"

"What are you trying to say?" Nick asked Clawhauser.

"You two would be a good couple." He said like it was obvious.

"No, we don't. We gotta go, Chubs." Nick said, taking the papers.
