"Tra le la de da de da dededes bbbaba." Cicero hummed as he followed you. You both were heading to Markarth, for you had got a letter from the Jarl asking for you to see him. ~ Cue Flashback~ When you received the letter your were at the Dawnstar Sanctuary, hanging out with everyone. You of course showed the letter to them all and they each gave you their opinion. Nazir insisted it might be a trap, whereas Babbette claimed that he just might need your help. All the while Cicero was quiet. Which scared you, he was NEVER quiet. Cicero caught you starting at him and smiled. "Cicero doesn't know if it is a trap or not but he does know that the Listener shouldn't go alone." Nazir looked shocked. "The fools actually right for once." Cicero stood up from the table and pointed to himself. "Cicero will go with the dear Listener and keep her from harm. And if anyone should think about hurting her...." He giggled as he drew a finger across neck. Nazir grasped his hands together. "Well then its decided. Cicero you'll go with the Listener and make sure nothing bad happens to her." Cicero nodded his head vigorously in agreement. All the while you sat there listening to them make decisions for you. ~ End Flashback~
You continued walking down the long winding road, listening to Cicero's humming. You sighed and stopped walking. You put a hand up to cover your face as you looked up towards the sky, the sun slowly setting. "Is the Listener okay?" You stifled a sigh as you looked at him. "Yeah fine just tired. Cicero since your so good at directions, do you know where we are or if we're close to anything?" Cicero looked good surroundings for a minute before responding. "It seems we're close to Rorikstead, dearest Listener." You groaned in frustration. "Gods I wish Shadowmere didn't get sick!" Yes your demonic horse was sick. Or so he said.... Cicero tapped his chin in thought for a minute before snapping his fingers. " Cicero could carry his Listener to Rorikstead if she'd like." You blushed deeply. The thought of Cicero carrying you sent chills down your body. Pleasant chills of course, but chills non the less. You'd be lying if you said you didn't like the jester. He was just so... Ugh need you even explain? Just look at him! You cleared your throat. "Um Cicero but won't you get tired?" Cicero shook his head. "Cicero won't mind! He would love to carry his Listener!!" Your eyes widened a bit. Did he just call you his...? No, no must have been a trick of the mind. You shuffled your feet for a minute before giving in. "Fine, okay but as soon as you get the littlest bit of tired don't hesitate to put me down. Okay?" Cicero nodded his head. "Yes, yes of course Listener!" Cicero turned around and crouched down a bit so you could climb on. You hitched up his back, before you slowly wrapped your legs around his waist. Cicero adjusted you on his back for a minute before continuing walking. You settled your head between his shoulder and neck. You thought you heard his breath hitch just a little bit but it must of been your imagination. You realized just how tired you really were. You quickly fell asleep on his back.
~ Third P.O.V.~
Cicero continued to walk down the road with you on his back, but his thoughts were plaguing him. ' Cicero doesn't think he can handle her on his back anymore.' It's not that your were heavy it's just... Your legs wrapped around his waist, and how your head rested perfectly between his shoulder and neck, and how your breath kept tickling his neck.. It just felt right to him. Cicero shook his head. ' What is Cicero thinking! Listener probly doesn't even like poor Cicero like that! She probly likes that stupid thief, Brynolf or something like that!' Cicero growled at the thought of him. He stopped quickly, careful not to wake his precious Listener. He hated the idea of that thief getting HIS precious Listener. Cicero could take care of his Listener, right? He was good enough for her wasn't he? Certainly better than that thief... It wasn't long before they appeared in Rorikstead. Cicero instantly headed for the inn and rented a room for them. He decided to just get one large room for them. He went into the room and closed the door with his foot before laying his Listener on the bed. He took off her boots and hood before covering her with the blanket. He crawled in to bed next to her and gently wrapped his arms around your petite waist. When he was sure you wouldn't wake up he pulled closer to his body. He then gently kissed your forehead, before whispering. "MY Listener...."
