Naruto vs Gaara

Jinchuuriki's against each other.

"Sasuke..you." I said, but he couldn't answer. The curse mark...

"Inu..Sakura what are you both doing here?" Sasuke asked, barely getting the words out. He's losing control again..like the last time! I thought Kakashi-sensei sealed it for good!

He tried to sit up, struggling all the way. Blood was coming out of his mouth.

"Sakura..Inu..earth to both of you..." I heard Naruto's voice drift to my ears.

"What do you want?!" Sakura shouted, angrily.

"This guy over here..who is he?" Naruto asked, nervous.

"He may look different...but he's Gaara." I said

"Hey, little girls." Pakkun said snapping me out of my thinking. I looked at him questioningly. "Now's the time to say that I'm not the fighting type."

I snorted. "We guessed that long ago." Sakura said she could see it.

Sasuke groaned, and we were pulled out of our conversation with the puppy.

"We have to get out of here." I said, glancing at him. "We have to take Sasuke to the Konoha Hospital...or Kakashi-sensei." Sakura nodded. "What do you want?" A voice which I presumed was Gaara asked Naruto. He didn't answer.

Sasuke tried to get up. I saw him trying to seal the curse mark. "Sasuke.." I said. "What did you do?!" He said he used the chidori three times, and spewed up blood again. "Sasuke!" Sakura and I said in a worried tone.

Naruto and Gaara were talking, mainly Gaara. "Guys! GET UP! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!" Naruto shouted

I saw Gaara jump past Naruto towards us. My eyes widened. 'I have to do something quickly!' I performed a hand sign making a few shadow clones.

"Die, Sasuke Uchiha!" Gaara shouted, as he advanced towards us. Sakura quickly stood up., and pulled out a kunai. "NO! WAIT SAKURA!" I was too late as the clones stood around us in a defensive position but Sakura was pushed to the side by Gaara's claw. "MOVE IT!"

The clones took the brunt of Gaara's attack and I quickly grabbed Sasuke jumping up to a higher branch. I looked at Sakura as she was pinned to the tree. "SAKURA NO! JUMP!!" She didn't hear me as she fainted.

"Sakura.." I mumbled, my eyes open wide. "SAKURA!" Naruto shouted as well, standing in front of me. "Dammit! WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?

Gaara was holding his head. I stood up, wiping my eye. This is no time to let emotions get in the way. I left Sasuke and Pakkun behind.

I looked at Gaara and saw him holding his head. That's it! One-tails is making him do it!!!

"Why can't I.." Gaara muttered, and clutched his head more.

Suddenly, Gaara started making these weird noises, like he was suffocating.He clutched his eye. I felt concerned.

We stared at him, eyes wide, unable to do anything we have to save Sakura but, Naruto didn't move. He was scared. I really didn't want to hurt Gaara, but if it comes down to that, I will, for my friends and my village.

At last, he looked at us, well mostly Naruto. He glared at Naruto, and looked at me..a bit of a glare lingering on his face. I looked at him, my eyes wide, but not with anger or fear..It was concern. Concern for him for Sakura, for Sasuke and for Naruto. His eye. It was that the one-tailed racoon.He switched to glaring again, yes,even at me. I'm the only one who thought of him as a friend

"What's the matter? Aren't you about to make a run for it?" Gaara said, smirking at us. Naruto glared at him.

"Sasuke..Naruto...Inu..protect..them..." Sakura muttered, still unconscious. Naruto and I glanced at her, regret in both of our stomachs.

Gaara looked at Naruto. "Who are these three? Who are they to you?" He glared.

"Huh?! Who are they to me?" Naruto shouted,and I moved up to Sasuke to heal him.

"THEY'RE MY FRIENDS THAT'S WHAT! YOU TRY LAYING A FINGER ON THE THREE OF THEM, AND I WILL PULVERIZE YOU!!" Naruto shouted at Gaara. I smiled at Naruto widely, and I think Gaara saw my smile..as he seemed to get angrier. He crushed Sakura even more, causing her to scream. My eyes widened. Pakkun backed away. I looked at Naruto. "You need my help?"

"Help Sasuke, Inu-chan!" Gaara only seemed to get angrier.

"WHO IS HE TO YOU?" Gaara shouted at me, and I cringed at him...and I suddenly felt scared. "HE'S MY BROTHER AND THEY ARE ALL OF MY FRIENDS JUST LIKE YOU ARE GAARA!" I shouted back equally loud. His eyes widened, but then he glared at me. Naruto looked confused but nevertheless didn't question me.

"What Happened? Weren't you gonna pulverize me? Well, come on then!" Gaara mocked Naruto.

I turned Sasuke around gently. "Alright, duck butt, I'm gonna heal you, then fight."

"I have to fight." Sasuke said, panting. "No." I said firmly, and started healing him by placing my hands over his chest. The familiar green glow enveloped my hands and started fixing most of Sasuke's internal damage.

Naruto jumped towards Gaara. Is he gonna fight him?

Naruto tried to punch Gaara, but Gaara blocked him, making Naruto fall back on the tree branch. I looked at Naruto, concerned, and I heard a 'tch' from Sasuke.

Naruto stood up again, gasping for air. "Do you need my help?" He shook his head, looking at Sakura, then Sasuke, and finally me, trying to using my chakra to heal Sasuke so that he doesn't sustain permanent damage.

"Gotta save my friends. All up to me. The only one with enough chakra." I nodded, looking proud by Naruto's courage.

Gaara started chuckling, and then he was cackling with demonic laughter. I looked at him..nervous. Not scared...nervous. He glared at Naruto.

"And that's exactly why you can't win. As long as you fight for the sake of others, you'll never advance beyond this level. Only one will win, and he's the one who will prove his existence! Forget your friends, and fight for yourself!!"

Naruto said, "You're insane." Uh-oh. "Forget my friends?"

Gaara said something which I didn't hear quite properly.

"Keep talking while you can cause I'm gonna shut you up once and for all!" Naruto shouted, pointing a finger at Gaara.

Gaara muttered something but I read his lip movements. "You don't understand what real strength is."

"I'm taking you down!" Naruto pulled out a kunai and jumped at Gaara.

He held his head. I am still healing Sasuke..he sustained a lot of damage and his curse mark didn't seem to go away, right now I'm concerned about him.

"Are you done?" He asked me, annoyed as the process was taking so long.

"Are you feeling better?" I retorted back, and he shut up, still looking at the fight. "No need to be jealous of Naruto."

Gaara's tail hit Naruto, And he went flying backwards. "Naruto!" I screamed.

He sat up, and sent me a reassuring glance, then turned to look at Gaara. I looked as well. He looked even more scarier. Please don't tell me he's remembering his uncle. His uncle was horrible, first all nice to him and then he agreed to kill Gaara. I am seriously scared now.

"WHY DON'T YOU ATTACK? DON'T YOU CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PRECIOUS FRIENDS?" Gaara mocked Naruto, as he squeezed Sakura tighter.

"Sakura!" Naruto and I shouted."Let her go!" Naruto shouted at Gaara.
