Chapter 65

"Uhm... Lexi whats this?" Emilia asked once I entered my room.

"Where did you get those?" I asked getting a bit angry when I saw what was in her hand. "Were you going through my stuff?"

"I was looking for a nail clip" Emilia responded.

"And you couldn't wait until I came back to ask me for one? That's my private drawer" I snapped as I went and grabbed the pictures out here hand. "A nail clip wouldn't be in that drawer either, I don't want you searching through my stuff"

"I'm sorry" Emilia said to me.

"Yeah whatever" I said putting them back in the drawer.

"I know you probably don't want me to ask but I'm curious. You lost that baby didn't you?" Emilia said to me.

"What do you think?" I asked annoyed. "Do I look pregnant now to you?"

Emilia had went into my bedside table drawer and found the pictures that Liam had taken of my baby at my first ultra sound back in Italy when I had just found out I was pregnant. I had tried to get over it but it wasn't easy when I remembered what happened, it just makes me mad at Gio and Lucas and his other goons all over again and Emilia going into my drawer and finding it now just brought back all the memories and anger I've tried to suppressed for months now.

"What happened?" Emilia asked sympathetically. "Was it Gio's?"

"Emilia, I don't want to talk about it okay" I signed trying not to take my anger out on her, it wasn't her fault.

"Sorry, but I just want to know if I was going to be an aunt?" She respond.

"Was" I said to her confirming her curiosity that the baby was Gio's.

I went to sit on the bed as Emilia came and sat in front of me.

"I didn't know, Gio never told us" Emilia replied shocked.

"Well he didn't know until after it was gone" I said to her.

"What happened? Did it have something to do with your break up?" She asked.

"Emilia, I really don't want to talk about it okay. It brings back bad memories. If your curious to know what happened asked Gio, if he wants you to know he'll tell you" I said to him.

"Whatever happened...I'm sorry about it and your lost" Emilia replied.

"Yeah" I nodded and smile slightly. "Its okay"

I've been laying in bed trying to sleep for the last 45 or more minutes but I just couldn't. Emilia was sleeping already, and probably everyone else in the house. It was currently 12:12am and still no sleep felt us if it coming my way. I turned onto my right side when I noticed my phone screen light up from the bedside table. Picking it up I looked at the caller's ID seeing that it was Gio.

"Gio, its after 12 in the morning" I replied whispering as not to wake Emilia.

"I know I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Gio asked.

"No, you didn't. I couldn't sleep" I replied.

"I figured" Gio said.

"How?" I asked confused getting out the bed and heading out my room.

"Em sorta called me early asking about the..." Gio trailed off.

"The baby. I know I told her to ask you" I said to him. "So what did you tell her?".

"That we'd discussed that another time" Gio replied. "We need to talk Lexi, we never really talk about this properly".
